2 Adults at Port Orleans Riverside

We leave in a little over a week (YEA!!!) and we're staying at Port Orleans Riverside for the first time. We are 2 adults (expecting a 3rd family member in April!) & I'm wondering if we should make a specific request for room location.

We will have a rental car so I'm not sure that we'll use the busses much, but is there a certain area or building that you really love?

POR is a beautiful resort for adults and kids.
You will love it.

We stayed in the mansions and loved it, but I have heard people rave about the alligator bayou rooms too.

It is a very romantic resort.

make sure you see Bob Jackson one night in the lounge. He is there Wed thru Sat 7PM. He is very entertaining.

The boat to DTD is great too.

I was just there the end of September and stayed in Oak Manor. The Mansion section is very nice. I was close to everything. Parterre Place seemed a bit closer the bridge going to the main building and Magnolia Terrace and Acadian House were closer to the bridge that went to the main pool.

This is our favorite resort. We'll be just two adults there this December for a total of eight nights. We stayed once in the mansions (Oak Manor) and it was very nice, but I prefer Alligator Bayou. I'm an early riser, and I love the walk from my room to the food court as the sun is rising. The landscaping is lush, and I love the casual feel of the rooms. I actually prefer a room in one of the buildings as far from the main building as possible (we stayed in Bldg. 37 once, and it was great).

No matter where you are in the resort, you'll love it.

Can you request a King bed??? The room we had in AB had double beds and were kind of smallish.

I loved the landscaping at AB, but the mansions just seemed so much more grand.

If you want to use the pool, the boat to DTD or the food court, I would rather stay close to those so I could walk.

One of the nicest things about AB was how quiet it was.
