Three nights, preferred building (Calypso), through DU.
Everything was just as I hoped and expected. One VERY MINOR downside -- in my preferences I had asked for 3rd floor. We were on the second story, room 501.
The noise from above was not that big of a deal. But we did hear a lot more flushing a shower/baths than any of our other WDW resort stays. But the place was pretty full too. That was the only factor that made it seem more average motel-like. But really not a big deal.
We were facing the main pool (corner room by the elevators). We first thought this may be a noisy room because of this. But they have that room sound proofed very well. You don't hear the guests or pool music in the room.
Very comfortable digs -- clean, good mousekeeping service.
Beds were hard (as all WDW beds are I have slept in) and slightly higher than expected.
We didn't use the WDW bus service. But I NEVER saw a long line when I was outside (perusing the pin cart.
) They appeared to have their usual good/organized bus service.
Food court was fine. No surprises.
We did wander ASMu a little. (Friends were in the Broadway section, that looked very nice and kept up.) We walked to ASSp & ASMo too yesterday morning. (pin carts!
) Each gift shop was a little different. Interesting.
Had a great time, as always. CM's were great and friendly at all the AS's.
We arrived at 3:30 Friday and our room was ready.Check in was very busy yesterday around noon when we left. Long check in line for early check in.
Resort stay = A
If all the sides were as sound proofed as the front, I would give an A+.
Very enjoyable stay. Grass needed mowing. Other than that...
DH liked the Music motif and it peaked his interest to stay at ASSp.
What is nice about the three resorts is that they are so enterchangeable. No surprises.
Great place to stay for the $.
