We need to stay value, so it's narrowed down to AoA family suite or AoA connecting rooms, I'm thinking the actual sleep space (beds and size) are better if we go with connecting rooms. Would we end up with the same sqft of room either way we go? I know that connecting rooms are guaranteed but we will be getting in there early and will wait till they have them come avab for us if we go that route.

The AoA suites are larger than two connecting rooms, I believe. The total square footage is 565 square feet, vs. 540 for the two rooms. The suite buildings have interior corridors, so they were able to get more space on the insides of the rooms. Another advantage of the suites is that you are guaranteed to be in the same space. Disney cannot guarantee connecting rooms -- they can't even guarantee that the rooms will be next to each other. If you do the two standard rooms, there is the possibility that you'll need to split up the adults and children.

The suite has other nice advangages. One - the parents get a separate room with a queen-sized bed. Two - the mini-kitchen. This gives you a real mini-fridge with a separate freezer section, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The standard rooms have only the beverage cooler. We really appreciated the mini-kitchen while we were there.

We have done both and actually prefer having a family suite over 2 connecting rooms.

First and foremost is the knowledge that we will definitely all be together. No having to worry about getting connecting rooms or not. Second is having the kitchenette. Even if you are on the dining plan you can use the kitchenette for money saving meals in the room. Saving those credits for character meals!

Thanks, I wasn't sure if the amount of room was the same with two regular room as is the one suite. I never thought about the kitchen part of the suite but that will help out a lot. Ok, so the suite has one queen bed which will be nice and one pull out double, what are the other pull out beds like that come from chairs? Do they come out to be single sized beds?

The other two beds are doubles. The couch pulls out, and then the table folds down from the wall into a regular bed. They are both quite comfortable.

That is true of the AoA suites. In the All Star suites you get one double sized fold out, and the other are singles.

Ok, great thanks, I didn't know if the new AoA would have the same type of beds as the other suites or not.
