I was wondering if anyone can help me, has anyone stayed at one of the Allstar's with 2 adults & 3 kids?

Thanks,
Kris :wave2:

You can do it if one of the kids is under the age of 3. If not, you will need two rooms. Rooms are limited to four persons plus one under the age of three.

Unless at least one of the children are in a crib, I don't think they allow 5 people in a room at the Allstars.

As the others have stated you would need to have a very young child for the 5 of you to stay in one room at All Stars.

Ok, now I will answer your question. Yes, but your space would be limited sleeping wise. Are the 3 kids small enough for one bed?

If you plan on taking advantage of early or late hours at the park someone would not have a resort card. They would not be able to take part.

We have two girls. The first time we went we took friends who had three girls. They were 2,4 and 5. They pushed one bed against the wall and then had them lay sideways. Our youngest was 1 and we pushed both beds over together agains the wall and had a pack n play set up. We had plenty of room for everyone. We weren't in the rooms a whole lot though.

First of all, welcome to the DIS!

I wanted to explain to you, as a new DISer, why you've gotten some of the answers that you have.

Is your question aimed at getting a "can it be done?" answer or a "why does Disney say we can't?" answer or do you not even know that the room limitation for the values is 4, unless one child is under 3?

The room occupancy rule is a hot topic of quite a bit of debate here on the DIS.

If you do a search here on the Resorts Board using something like "three children" or "five people," you'll probably find the answers you are looking for, regardless. I believe that the least expensive "legal" way two adults with three children can stay onsite is somewhere like POR.

Remember, by getting 2 connecting rooms, you get 2 bathrooms! :sunny: And I believe they guarantee connecting rooms if there is no adult in the 2nd room.
Interesting comment about everyone needing a resort i.d. They never asked us for the id when we went in May. In fact, I only remember me and dh having a key to the room. Both my ds's didn't get a key. I'll have to make sure they get a room id on our next trip.

If one of your children is under the age of 3 or you are going to get two rooms than All Stars is an excelent choice.

Here is a site with a map of All Star Sports and All Star Music.

Scroll down. All Star Music is at the bottom of the page.
The Calypso buildings at All Star Music are #1 and #10 are nearest to the food court and bus stop.
They are the preferred buildings and cost about $12 extra per night.
The Calypso pool at ASMU has Donald Duck.

Here is the map of All Movies.

The Fantasia Buildings are the preferred buildings.
The All Star Movie Fantasia pool has Mickey.
The buses are wonderful.
Bus rides are shorter from the ALL Stars than POP according to PassPorter.com

All Star Buses------------Pop buses
MK 20 min---------------MK 25 min
Epcot 10 min------------Epcot 20 min
MGM 10 min--------------MGM 15 min
AK 10 min----------------AK 15 min
DTD 15 min---------------DTD 20 min

Which is one the of the reasons I the All Star Resorts --they can't be beat. I have visited WDW more than a dozen times with the 1st time in Oct. 1971. It was brand new. I've stayed at FW, Disney Inn, a few the of Hotels on hotel Blvd., CBR and the towers at the Contemporary. I got to see the MK from my balcony at the Contemporary and I'm happy I got to experience it once. I just prefer the All Star Resorts.
The theaming is pure Disney.
My last 4 visits have been at The All Stars and this fall when we take dd,dsil, and our grandson age 3 we are staying at the All Stars Music. I thought about AKL and even though we can well afford AKL I just wanted Alex to experience the Disney Magic :wizard: at the All Stars on his first visit. I can hardly wait.

I'm wrestling with that notion now, LOL! Just how important those 2 bathrooms are ;) We have a room booked at PO-R and I'm seriously thinking about 2 rooms at Pop Century or ASMo. (we have 3 kiddoes) It's about $100 to switch to 2 rooms.

We've stayed at the allstar before and really thought it was nice.
We have a 3 yr old, 9 yr old and a 12 yr old cousin.

I guess I was more wondering if anyone has done it, put 5 people in a room at Allstars. We're a family on a BIG budget. I've seen pics from Port Orleans Riverside and it seems real nice. But there is a big price difference between the Allstars and Port Orleans.

As there is not a child UNDER the age of 3, you would have to get 2 rooms at the budget resorts. You do need to have room keys for everyone in your group if you're thinking of doing EMH at the parks as they do ask for those before issuing wristbands. Also, I believe they do sometimes ask to see room keys for the busses.

I'm not weighing in one way or another but who would expect a 3 year old to have a room key?

If you plan on attending the EMH at the parks your proof is the resort key for admittance. Everyone gets a resort key with their name on it.

Disney. Nuff said.

Disney does if you intend to participate in Early Morning or Extra Magic Hours. Each person or child wishing to participate will need an ID with their name on it, to get a wristband.

If one does not wish to take advantage of this, I would suggest off property resorts where you can find many places that allow 5 for less than staying at Disney.
