2/29 through 3/4 crowd level

Are there any conventions, etc. going on for the weekend of 2/29 to 3/4? This will be our 4th trip to disney and we're trying to go at a slower time for once

Every weekend in February there is a cheerleading event somewhere at Disney... up to and including the 8,9,10th of March when there are different 'Cheerleader National Championships' at either Wide World of Sports or at the Indy Jones Theatre at Disney Hollywood Studios.

And add to that, the weekend of Feb 29 to March 2 .. it's the ESPN Weekend at Disney Hollywood Studios with lots of sports celebrities and ESPN personalities converging in a 'fanfest' of sorts..

And uh... I hate to pile on to that list.. but you've also got spring break in some parts of the country... and there is at least one conventions scheduled at that time as well (At Coronado Springs Resort) = the good news is that conventions don't impact the parks THAT much usually.. and most of the rest of the traffic will be directed to either Disney Hollywood Studios or Wide World of Sports... Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom should be busy but manageable.

Sorry to be the bearer of not great news. In short, the crowds will be moderate to high.

I'm not sure about conventions going on during this time, but we were at Disney during this time in 2007 and the crowd levels were pretty manageable. The wait for rides was ok - the popular rides (Soarin') we fast-passed. We were lucky the weather was 75-80 most days. Enjoy your trip!
