2/23-3/1 Crowd Size ? Mardi Gras?

I am planning a trip to arrive at the PBH on 2/23 and leaving on Sat 3/1. Any ideas about crowd size? I'm trying to avoid spring break and the Mardi Gras crowds. When and what exactly is involved with Mardi Gras?

What are the chances that the weather will be good enough for the kids to swim?

My annual passes from last year expire on 4/22, so with Easter in mind, it looks like this week is the best - anyone disagree?

Also, anyone ever have any luck trying to get a Parlor Suite with the $35 upgrade? My parents are joining us for the last 3 nights, and I would love to get a Parlor with deluxe rooms on both sides and only have to pay for 2 deluxe rooms plus a $35 charge. Am I dreaming?

I checked out the link, but it didn't answer my questions. Weather at that time for swimming? What dates is Mardi Gras?, crowd size in general for that week, etc.....

March weather tends to be warm in the day and cool in the evening.
