I want to make sure I understand this... at buffets and family style my 2 year is free to eat whatever he wants right? Will he be provided with a drink or will we have to buy it OOP?

At "regular" TS restuarants he will share with us or his brother. What about here? Will we have to buy him a drink? (The only places like this we have planned are Tony's, LeCellier, and Sci-Fi.)

I have a feeling will end up having to buy him his own meal at CS. I have heard the kid's meals are not that big and DH and I probably won't order something he would eat. :confused3

At buffets your 2-1/2 y/o will be able to eat all he/she wants. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get a drink as well.

As far as other TS, yes, you'll have to order him/her their own meal if they don't want to share. If you order a drink (without a kid's meal) more than likely you'll be charged for it.

HTH. :goodvibes

DO most place have free refills? Wonder if they would just let him share a drink with his brother? lol

All TS have free refills.:goodvibes So, yes, your smaller one could definitely share. Probably doesn't drink that much anyway, right?

On my recent trip on the DxDDP my two year old got his own drink and free refills at all TS restuarants. He got his own plate. Just at "regular" TS restaurants we had to share food to put on his plate. At buffets and family style he essentially got whatever we wanted to give him from the buffet. He was marked as an "infants kid meal" on the checks, with $0 regardless of on DDP or OOP.

We just got back on Thursday & my 2-year old got a drink in all of the restaurants and we were not charged. However, we did not go to any TS meals that were not buffet or family style. I got her apple juice in all cases , not just a soft drink too, which was even better.

We did not ask if we'd be charged either... I thought that would cause them perhaps to charge us, kwim?

Thanks for posting this! DD will be 2 1/2 in December when we are back and I was wondering the same thing. Thanks everyone for the info!

We went last year with our 2 1/2 year old DD and we did not pay for TS drinks for her either. Some of the places we ate at were Tony's, LeCellier, 50's prime time and Sci-Fi. She was able to eat off our plates too.

Hijack!
MistyD...that is the cutest picture in your signature!!! What a doll (well, she looks like a doll anyway!) Beautiful baby!

I have to comment on that little Tinkerbell too! Absolutely beautiful baby! OP is right - she looks just like a doll! So sweet!

We have traveled with a 2 yo both on the DDP and paying OOP. We were very lucky that we were never charged for his beverage at TS locations. They always comp'd his drink for us, though we never asked them to and fully expected to pay for his beverage.

We did pay extra for his drink at all CS locations - regardless if we were using the plan or not.

(Oct 2007 - with DDP, March 2008 - OOP)
