I read that you can trade a TS for a CS and a snack, but only until free dining ends. Is that something that might be extended. We're going in December and having an ADR every day is somewhat limiting. I didn't want to have one the day after MVMCP. If we could exchange the TS credit for CS it would make our day a lot less stressful.

Probably not. This is one of the temporary Dining Plan changes Disney made to appease Guests who (lacking our vast and wonderful sources of knowledge :teeth: ) did not make ADRs and are now finding themselves unable to use table services credits for TS meals.

You don't HAVE to ration out the credits the way you seem to think. You each GET one snack, one counter service meal, and one table service meal per night of your reservation, but you don't have to use them that way. You could use up all your snacks one day, eating no actual meals; or have two Signature meals one day and eat only counter service meals two other days...

Yes, that's the way it is worded: 1CS + 2 snacks + a less expensive lanyard. It may or may not be extended -- no way to know for sure at this point because I doubt Disney has had to make the decision yet.

As Bicker just said:

1TS =1CS + 2 snacks + a less expensive lanyard

In addition, I also read in a newsletter from mousesavers that:

1CS= 2 snack credits (sc)

Many people have said that at the end of their trip when they had leftover credits, they were able to buy snacks in the gift shop. The CMs told them that the remaining credits converted to snack credits. They took the snacks with them for the drive home before they left.

So, i wonder (in theory) does that mean that if you have 2TS (8 sc), 1CS (2sc), and 1 SC left, you could use them as 11 snack credits??

hmm?? i wonder?

anyone know?

If it's true, imagine the "damage" one could do during Food and Wine...

There are a few restaurants (plus the dinner shows) where the dinner takes 2 TS points...

Jiko (AK)
Flying Fish (on Boadwalk- my personal fave)
California Grill (CR)
Hoop-Dee-Doo (Fort Wilderness)
Mickey's Backyard BBQ (Fort Wilderness)
Citricos (GF)
Narcoossee's (GF)
Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show (Poly)
Artist Point (WL)
Yachtsman Steakhouse (WL)
Cindy's Royal Table
Hollywood Brown Derby (MGM)

The Grand Gathering Dinners also take 2 TS points.

The conversion of TS into CS is something that the Dining Plan is promising (at least for a limited tim). The conversion of CS into snacks is something individual eateries may or may not decide to offer. There is no standard for it.

we stayed at pop and i recall that they put in a TS meal for the plan for guests that had noware to eat them.Did this hapen at anyware elce?

Is it 1 TS= 1CS + 2SC + 1 lanyard (& pin)?
I thought it was either
1 TS = 1CS + 2SC
OR
1 TS + 1CS + 1 lanyard (& pin)
