1st Week of May 2011- How Busy?? How about Feb??

Last year my family of 3 went to DL/DCA on the last week in May. Awful timing what with grad nights, school bands/cheerleaders/dance teams etc and I really underestimated how busy it would be. And let me tell you...I think it was busier this last week of May (we were there weekdays and weekend) then it was in August when we went the year before.

This year we are hoping to take DS for his 6th birthday which just so happens to fall on Presidents Day weekend. However, I'm not sure if DH can get the time off from work yet, so we may have to postpone a little bit. Now the last thing I want to do is be there during all those spring breaks, so mid March-end of April are pretty much out.

My questions are....how is the last weekend in Feb? And if we can't make Feb work, then hows the 1st week in May? I know later on in May is just awful (at least for us it was) so we would definately try and go during that 1st week/weekend.

early may is not too bad its lighter than the end of may of course. my fav time to go is the last week of feb and first week of march which we annualy do. so low in crowds and great weather. i still like may tho

I'm excited to hear that late Feb/early March is low attendance! The only times that DS and DH have gone, the crowds have been insane!! I'm hoping to show them the nice, low attendance days that I grew up with- growing up I always went between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I really hope that DH is able to get this time off, otherwise we will probably be there early May...but I'm hoping that timeframe has low attendance as well!

We went to WDW last year for two weeks in early May and it was great. This year we are going to DLR 5/8 - 17. I think it will be fine. Plus, in May you have a much better chance of enjoying the slide at GCH pool!
