1st week of June???

Help please...I am thinking of going the first week of June. How is the crowds, are schools out? How is the weather, very humid and hot by that point??

We didn't find the crowds to be that bad, however, it was very hot and humid. So much so, that we won't be back in the summer.

Since that is the only week I have gone so far I can't compare it to other times of the year, but I can say that we had a great week and plan to return the same time next year.

Many southern schools are out but most others are not. Fast Pass made the crowds very managable, as we never waited in line at all.

Yes, it was hot. What else can I say? It's Florida. Being from Texas, it was no big deal to us. Plus, there are so many inside attractions that you can always find a way to cool off.

We have visited WDW during the first two weeks of June for the past two years and have found the crowds and weather very manageable(but we are from Texas so we are familiar with heat and humidity). We have always been able to ride everything we wanted to with minimal planning and FP. It does rain every day around the same time but it usually only lasts about 30 minutes. The heat can be tolerated as long as you drink lots of water and coat yourself in sunscreen. A lot of the attractions are out of the sun and many are air-conditioned. If you are like us and can only visit WDW during the summer then early June is a good time to go. Keep in mind that the first Saturday in June is Gay Day at MK and it can be very crowded.

1st week of June is a great time to go!

The crowds aren't that bad at all. I don't think we ever waited more than 20 minutes MAX if that ever. FP is great!

We're also from Texas, so Florida's heat is nothing for us. The rain was consistent late afternoon, but you can easily go eat dinner or do a show or something.

As far as the "gay day/week" thing... It wasn't an issue. Just avoid the park of the day and the crowds will be fine.

Port Orleans Riverside. Now to think about which restaurants are best.

I was just there this past June and the crowds weren't too terrible. It was a bit sticky one day there, but compared to what I have here in Ohio during the summer, it was tolerable. I believe the high was in the low 90s (maybe 92 if that). I thought it was a great time to go!

If you are staying at PO-R, you have to try Boatwrights for dinner or breakfast. They have the best Eggs Benedict. And their dinner menu is excellent. You'll love it there.

Our favorite time of the year to go to WDW is early June. The hours are still a bit too short, but the crowds are manageable. We don't mind the hot weather. We prefer the summer because we like a lot of "pool time".

I love that time! The only thing I don't like is the heat and humidity, but I am from a dry heat, so the humidity gets to me more. The crowds are quite managable and the water parks are so much more pleasurable with the heat. Watch out for the few afternoon thundershowers, too.

I would be going back again in 2004 during this time, but BIL does not want to do WDW in the summer, so we have to wait until Thanksgiving time.

We will be there June 6-13 You will love POR--that is where we stayed on our first WDW trip!!
