1st week of june!

hi all!

we are 1st timers 2 dlrp. would love 2 know what its like 1st weeken in june!
we are going wed 4th-mon 8th!

what are the ques 4 rides like?
how busy are the restaurants ? will i have 2 reserve a table?
what will the weather be like?

We went the first week in June last year (our first time too ) and it was fab.

The weather was great, we wore shorts and t-shirts the majority of the time. It drizzled quite a bit, but it wasn't at all a pain, as it was so warm you dried off straight away. We even sat outside in the rain to have cocktails when we returned to the hotel one night

EMH was fantastic and everyday at this time. You will be able to do loads of rides and we managed to get loads of photos of the park with no one else in it

During the week it was quiet during the day - not too long to wait for anything (except Big Thunder Mountain and Crush which could be 30-45 minutes sometimes). We were there Thursday through to Tuesday. Thursday was quiet (and I expect the Wednesday you arrive will be too) but the closer to the weekend the busier it got, with Saturday being absolutely choca block (we gave up and went back to the hotel), but when Monday came round it was really quiet again.

We loved this time of year and would love to go back this year at the same time, but after our January trip we just can't afford it

Forgot to say - the restaurants were very busy, but not so much so that you have to book before going. We booked wherever we wanted to eat in the morning of that day at City Hall and we always managed to eat where we chose

I was at DLRP first week of June last year, I really enjoyed it. There did seem to be a lot of school trips around, but they never seemed to be in ride queues, restaurants etc at the same time as us.

The weather was warm, but it did rain quite a bit.

i am staying at the cheyenne! i have 2 boys age 6 & 2 and taking the dh aswell!

i really cant wait! probably more excited than the kids

yay sorry to hijack but im watching this closly, im here 1st week in June too, for mine and my daughters birthdays oh cant wait, so far there are 4 adults 4 children and 1 infant going. and then some more might come too.

Honestly the rain wasn't bad at all. It was really very light and didn't last long, so I wouldn't let that put you off. None of us like the idea of going in summer, but we will definitely go the beginning of June again. Only downsides are no fantillusion and the parks closes at 7pm during the week, but it's definitely worth it.

We stayed at the Cheyenne too. The boys will love it. When the parks close at 7pm it's lovely to go back and sit outside in the nice sunny weather. The kids can play in the play area or you can go a pedal around the hotel grounds in one of the cart type things. I recommend the kids cocktails too I was breastfeeding while we were there so couldn't have a proper one, but the kids ones were lovely

we've gone in early June for the last two years now and loved it !! DD spent her first birthday (8th June) there and last year we were there just after. The weather was great, warm and a bit of drizzle but nothing signifcant, the queues for the more popular rides like Peter Pan were manageable and restaurants, etc were fine ... would definitely go again in June .. just wish it stayed open a little longer
