Can anyone tell me about WDW during the first week of December? Like:
Is it crowded?
Are the water parks open/warm enough?
Are the Christmas Decorations up?
What's the best part about going then...

Thanks!

This is when we'll be there!

I'll try....

1. No, it's not crowded. Most rides are pretty much walk on or 5-10 minute wait.

2. Blizzard Beach is open...Typhoon Lagoon is closed. The pools are heated, but the outside air may be a little chilly for swimming. We were there, this time last year, and a couple days we wore shorts, it was in the high 70s.

3. Yes, all the decorations are up. We arrived the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and they were up.

4. The best parts about going this time are the Christmas decorations...beautiful, the weather (although it can get cold, I think the average temps are in the 70s, with little to no rain) and the low crowds.

Last December was our first time going at that time of year and it was wonderful. Lines were short, weather was mostly nice. (Only one cooler day), decorations are awesome, the Christmas shows are wonderful ( I guess you get my point), We LOVED it and are doing it again this year!!!

It can be warm enough to wear shorts during the day but pants and a sweatshirt are almost a must in the evening because when that sun sets, it can get a bit chilly.

We go during that time of year and it is great and all festive. I think the longest line was 20 minutes, exluding dumbo for some reason was near an hour. But other than that, it is a fun time of year to go.

Just wanted to emphasize that you really should be prepared for any kind of weather. A few years ago we were there the first week of December and this is what it was like:
Day 1 - rainy most of the morning and part of the afternoon, temps in the 70's.
Day 2-5 - skies were BEAUTIFUL, but it was COLD!!! In the 30's-40's. We even wore gloves. What worked best for us is layering, t-shirt underneath a sweatshirt or jacket, and jeans. When you get into the attractions, they are heated, so you'll need to take the sweatshirt off or it'll feel like a sauna. And BB will probably be closed on these cold days.
Day 6 - back up to the 80's. We went to BB, but the water was a bit cold. Day was beautiful, at night there was a thunderstorm.

Some people have been lucky and haven't experienced the cold weather, but I think it would be better to be prepared.

That said, this was absolutely my favorite time of the year!!! Definitely make time to check out the decorations at the resorts, and go to MVMCP if you can. Also, EPCOT has lots of neat things. Make sure to check the calendars for all the events going on.

Just to throw in my 2 cents...
That is the time that I go every year...without question the best time to go. Very low crowds, the famous Florida humidity is almost nonexistent, cool temps, holiday decorations...Maybe we shouldn't speak so highly of that time frame, because then everyone will go then...never mind what I said, it's a terrible time to go..:p
