***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

So I may or may not have just spent $120 on shirts on Etsy. :rolleyes1
I also went to Five Below and Dollar Tree this morning; they had some cute little things for Disney. I got us Mickey and Minnie winter hats in case it's cold, and some cute socks. I had to pace myself!!
I have $200 in my cart at teerepublic. I have not dared go back to the site since last night! Lol! :rotfl:I do have to get to the dollarstore too. Maybe later when DH and DS decide to go home ;)

Ha all, enjoying the weekend in Amish country with my aunts and sister.

Haven't caught up on all the posts but saw the chat about SOTMK. After my nephew opens up the bunch of packs I got on ebay, I can mail his "extras", if anyone is interested. @Lisa F ?

I live dollar tree and 5 below.
When DS was smaller "mickey" used to leave him small gifts. It worked out becausethen he didn't ask for a buck of stuff in the park. He was allowed one big thing, last time it was a light saber.
We are going for his birthday this year and I plan I decoratin the window of our room. Hoping either store will have some stuff.
I have ready strated making my packing list.....anyone else

I have my packing list spreadsheet up and running, and Christmas-colored, lol

Oh lord, y'all...I just spent more money on Disney stuff at Kmart. :sad2:
DH and I went to look for Halloween costumes, and I forgot how much Disney stuff they had because it's on the other side of town.
We ended up randomly finding this Mickey Christmas sweater...which we'll both wear to MVMCP over the personalized Christmas shirts I bought today from Etsy.

I also found a couple of Disney t-shirts to wear.
Then I found their Christmas aisle with the Disney section and somehow ended up with more ornaments, plus 2 stockings to bring with us to decorate the resort window. DH had to stop me from buying the Mickey ear Christmas hat because I'm pretty sure I already have one. :rolleyes1
My poor debit card this weekend! :rotfl:

Oh and in blah news, I got an email that Zazzle cancelled my Best Day Ever shirt because it had Rapunzel's sun flower on it. :( So now I'll have to order one from Etsy or make my own iron-on transfer.

Crazy busy day today. DH got a call that there was a water leak in his office at work, so he met his boss there, and apparently, many of the computers are non-functioning. They spent the day quickly finding replacements for Monday morning!

While DH was away, the girls and I headed down to the premium outlets and of course visited the Disney Store. Nothing really to buy, very picked over. I did though score some non-Disney clothing for DD1 for the winter. She's growing like a weed. :)

Tonight I'm going through our Disney box yet again to see what still needs to be purchased. I feel like I'm always missing something.

On to shoes, what are you planning on wearing to the parks?

We're doing pretty long days on all our park days, so I'll take two pairs of tennis shoes so I can alternate, my regular New Balances and my runDisney Cinderella ones. I'm taking a pair of black and white (well broken in) saddle shoes for MVMCP, and I may throw in my black Crocs flats just for something a little less confining.

From past experience, on my no-go's for shoes are my Sketchers Bobs (they even have memory foam!) and my Converse's. My Bobs rubbed horrible blisters between the bottom of my toes and the ball of my foot, even with my Smartwool no show socks. My Converse's might have been okay if I'd worn thicker socks, but a full day in MK made them feel like they were going to rub my poor baby toes off since they have a narrower profile.

I think the big tricks are bringing multiple options to wear, moleskin for blisters/hotspots, and not wearing non-supportive flip-flops.

My first trip to Disney in 2003 I was SO unprepared for the amount of walking and only brought one pair of sneakers and a pair of platform Skecher flip flop sandals, and my feet were in hell! Every trip after that I learned my lesson and had SO much less pain in my feet, legs, and lower back.
For this trip I have a pair of Crocs, a pair of worn in New Balance sneakers, Tevas, and my personal fave is the Ecco Biom Delta off-road sandals. I wore the Ecco shoes in August when we went to Niagara Falls and they were perfect because my feet felt airy in the heat, but they had great support like a sneaker. It was great practice for Disney because we did a TON of walking everyday!

@areno79 If you're a big fan of that quote I found it as a magicband decal too! https://www.etsy.com/listing/253599033/best-day-ever-magic-band-decal?ref=shop_home_active_36

And yes, now my obsession of the moment is looking for magicband decals on Etsy, lol
Oh yes, it pops up whenever I search for that saying in Etsy! LOL
DH personalized a cover for his band at magicyourband.com and it came out AMAZING!
I had planned to design my own MB when it comes in, but I may create something on MYB just in case I have an epic fail with my band. I am NOT the craftiest person! LOL

I just bought new memory foam skechers and Bobs. I'll bring both of those, my Teva Mush and Cobian Bounce flip flops. Part of me wants it to be flip flop weather and the other part wishes for cooler temps, so I can wear my hair down and makeup and not die.

For me the perfect shoe is my fit flop! I have plantar fasciitis and nothing feels as good for me as my fit flops. I went to Cuba in May with my parents and walked for two weeks straight on those things without any issues. They are definitely my go to shoes for Disney, just hoping it's not too cold for them!

I was just thinking about shoes last night! I don't really remember what I wore four years ago. I was thinking of being a pair of flip flips, sandals and a pair of sneakers... but I have been thinking... what do I wear for going to signature restaurants and then the park after? So I've been trying to look for flats (my greatest enemy) since last night. I wish it would be nice and warm enough to wear sandals at night though.

Hmmmm.....Did someone say Kmart had disney sweaters.....this will need to be investigated.

And I was thinking today how as a family we are going to need to start walking more, even it it's just around the neighborhood, but get us ready.

I have one pair of Reeboks that I will mostly wear and then a pair of Fila.
I will also have Crocs to use to walk around the hotel room at night when we get back and early morning before getting ready. Will also use at the pool if it is warm enough to go to SAB which I really hope we get the chance to.
