***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I have Land, Seas in my list... Did your little one like turtle talk? DH and I made the mistake of going in during our pre child trip and found it to be long... (but that may be because we were kind of bored) :P Did you DD like Spaceship Earth/ Figment?
We didn't do Figment or SE with DD. I figured SE would be too long, and for whatever reason we never made it to Figment. We definitely will this year though!

This is what I'm scared of.. The ride bring too long... I guess if it's in the middle of my trip I would be able to see how DS handles rides...

I love SE! It's a great way to rest your legs in Epcot! Hopefully now that DD1 will be 3.5, she'll maybe have an interest in it? Lately though it's been the princesses.

FEA FPs will be a priority to you then ;)

Edit: need to figure out how long is SE and maybe watch a YouTube video of it

After further discussion with the family, we've decided to give up on Boma breakfast and instead try to get a Tusker House breakfast. Now I'm looking for Tusker House on 12/3 and 'Ohana dinner on 12/4. I've updated the spreadsheet just in case anyone spots these ADR's. I've also got my TP reservation finder going for both and I'll be checking. I anticipate things will start to open up a bit more over the next week or so as people begin making their fastpasses.

That's so awesome of you! I know we're hoping for something a bit earlier though, because we had a 10:35 there last time and didn't feel we had enough time with the breakfast food before they put out lunch. I think they were a bit late seating us, so we only got one good time through the line before they switched it over.

I think that's actually why all the times I book are around then, DH is a little more interested in lunch but lunch time is too late when we have a 4:30pm dinner ;)

Our ride goals with DD are: (she's 40 inches!)
FEA, Small World, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Mad Tea Party, Pooh, Nemo and Friends, Turtle Talk, Disney Jr Live (not a ride), Frozen Live, Little Mermaid (in MK and HS) Magic Carpets, Jingle Cruise,... we'll probably repeat these multiple times.

There's quite a few things I'm iffy on with it just being us 2 adults. But I want to try to give everything a chance once! Well, almost everything.
I did disney for years with my ex as DINKS. as always willing to give my opinion on what that was like, lol.

Anyone else care to share ride goals?

I have 2 sets- one adult (rider swap) goals and for my baby :D
Adult goals: TT, Soarin, 7DMT, Everest (RRR, Hulk, Forbidden Journey and Gringotts at Universal)
Baby goals: Dumbo, PP, Buzz, IASW, TSMM, Disney Jr, safari, triceratop spin, etc...

By the way, anyone has experience with bringing a little one to Pirates and Haunted Mansion?

Kind of off the Disney topic, but have you done much research/planning for Universal yet? I was on the Universal board last night and I learned a lot! I didn't know you can't take bags on a lot of rides, and on a select few you can't even have anything in your pockets. That information will probably entice me to pack lightly on our Universal days.

I just contacted my travel agent to see if I could move my dates from 11/30-12/2 to 12/1-12/3 and she said all of their deals are completely booked for the first week of December. She said it "has become a VERY popular week!" Here I was thinking it was a less crowded time to go, but maybe that's not so anymore.

I regularly visit those boards and learn a bit from the lovely ladies there :) (I find the ones who know the most about Universal are all ladies as opposed to the men of DIS WDW boards :P)
I think it basically is recommended to pack light but there are rides wherein you cannot take anything at all... I think RRR is one of them. Either way, you will be going to lockers once in a while and those are an unavoidable hassle. I don't think I'm going to really plan too much for Universal but probably will look for info on things for my 2 year old. It's pretty laid back there especially with dining. You also have EP (plus it's low season) so except for HP stuff, you're pretty much ok with any wait times. :)

EDIT: there is a snack thread going slowly over there that has a bit of good info (pink donut and butterbeer ice cream... mmmm...)

Yes that snack thread pulled me in last night! Plus I'm following along for Toothsome updates. There might be more planning around the food/snacks then for the rides there.

I'm going the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Thanksgiving. So it's actually a high crowd then. But I'm hoping the EPs make it manageable. It was a necessary evil that we be at either Universal or WDW during that popular weekend in order to get this long of a trip.

Opinion away my dear! *googles what DINKS means* I'm always learning something on the disboards!
lol dual income, no kids. i just like now "dink" sounds.

it is a different life than single working mother of special needs child but hey, we are going to disney so it's all good! slammed at work right now, will opinion later!

I think it's so much more worth it to be at Universal during a busy time just because of EP. It's like an automatic FP for almost all the rides! I think you and your DH will be spoiled there and will not be impressed with Disney's system after, hehe!

Yes, I think you just need to hit HP lands early and go through everything else leisurely. I think even Kong is manageable with EP. Oh and despicable me, early or late too. For some reason that line takes a really long time even with EP.

Snacks look great there, so much sweets!
