***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

What made this thread explode today??? I've been off-line packing and getting reading for a weekend trip to Chicgo area; I also had to attend my local crochet guild chapter meeting this evening. I'll be the featured teacher at a crochet retreat this weekend. I've packed yarn, garment samples, and all my clothes. I'm packed except for toiletries, which I'll pack in the morning. I need to go to bed, but I don't want to miss anything here!

My plane lands at Midway at 12:30 pm tomorrow, but I won't have anything to do until I'm picked up by a local chapter member late morning on Friday. Anybody know Chicago well who can suggest anything for me to do tomorrow afternoon and evening. I'm up for taking the train or bus to downtown, if that's safe for me to do on my own.

Just chatty. :) Have an amazing weekend! We love visiting Chicago!

That's a great idea. You could post your request for a design in the CreativeDISigners thread, someone there would be happy to help for free. They are pretty talented over there and always seem happy to design custom.

I can do something like this for us, too. I have some official Disney character graphics I can use. I just can't do anything until next week, when I'm back from the weekend crochet retreat.

Enjoy Chicago!! There are boat tours that looked great when I last visited... We ask went to Shedd Aquarium and their harbour front :) I walked around downtown on my own then because DH was at work but I never really took their trains.

With all this AK talk I can't help being fixated on ROL. I've been reading various posts over the past week or two on other threads/sites that some are expecting tomorrow (Sept.15th) to be of significance (totally unconfirmed and at this point and I swear people are just throwing darts at the calendar while blindfolded!). Has anyone else heard anything about Sept 15th?
The earliest I heard was Oct? (Touring plans and Kenny the pirate) I totally agree with the darts on calendars... Hoping it opens soon and they can update hours already!!!

Because I can't just be done with my planning, have any of you ever eaten breakfast at garden grill? Thinking of trying to add a PPO breakfast there (if I can find one!) for our Epcot day. We're doing dinner at Akershus for my DD bday but thought it might be fun to start the day with a character breakfast as well, and get a head start to soarin since we will FP FEA. We're planning on spending our morning in future world. Just curious on your experiences. Thanks!
I've never tried it but heard rave reviews about how well this strategy works and how good the breakfast is. I think @Lisa F is having a late breakfast there. I'm going to try their lunch :) I have an Akershus PPO on a separate day.

How fun!! Good luck at the retreat!! I would love to be able to crochet or knit. I need to take up a hobby that is creative and relaxing. Every year at this time I get excited about sewing or putting together my girls costumes, but that's really the extent of my sewing/crafting. And I really do love it!

Is this the restaurant that slowly turns ? It looks fun, And I was so tempted to book it because of the characters and potential ppo possibility! But again I was a bit nervous about eating and moving :crazy2:??)

yeah I am not a morning person so I am doing a 10am breakfast there. Planning to RD Soarin' and trying to decide if I want to RD it and then do an early FP+ for it or if I can ride it twice at RD before breakfast. then living with the land (either before or after breakfast) The land pavilion is my favorite pavilion. Or MAYBE I should RD soarin, do it again if I can, do the living' with the land if I can't and show up early for breakfast if I have to... and FP+ it for after breakfast. this way there is a break between riding. Yes i love it that much. If Epcot had EMM with Soarin', TT and spaceship earth, I'd so be there like you would not believe.

Also Soarin' was closed still when kiddo was there with his dad and he was SO SAD. it is his favorite too. I am hoping to do it once our first day and then twice our second day before we leave the epcot area for MK area.

If you will all indulge me for a minute, I documented my trip 2 years ago on FB. 2 years ago today I was in epcot all day and then we went to CA Grill for dinner and then back to Epcot for Illuminations (since I had no parkhoppers). :cloud9:

it barely moves. Even people with motion issues have reported they don't feel it. I haven't been there in YEARS maybe like 10. I am so excited about this one. It was dinner last time I went :)

My favorite thing to do is shop down Michigan avenue, and eat lunch in millennium park! You have to take the obligatory selfie with the bean too ;)

Have fun! I love Chicago!!

Just whatever you do - DONT travel to duty Chicago for any reason. Ever. Haha. We got on a wrong bus once at navy pier and it was scary!

I've never been to GG for breakfast, but we really enjoyed it in the past for lunch/dinner. Like Lisa, I haven't been in years; our last time there was in 2005! We booked it for the CP package lunch for this upcoming trip, and I'm pretty excited to try it. When we went before, we really enjoyed it! The food was good, it was a calm atmosphere, and the characters were great!

this hits all of my high points lol. kiddo went with his dad for late lunch there but we are doing breakfast (I wanted to save my dinners for more interesting places, so most of my character meals are breakfasts except H&V Holiday Dine which was only available at dinner)

I need to read from page 293 til yesterday sometime :-p yes the thread exploded. maybe friday night I can sit down and indulge.

I need this trip so badly I can't wait, only then it will be over and there will be nothing left to plan :(

I switched my Wild Africa Trek to the 8:00am time slot instead of 8:45am. The CM this time said to be at the gate at 7:30am and that I will have to take a taxi because buses wouldn't be running that early. Is this what I should plan on doing? We need to get there from the BWV and won't have a car.

That can't be right - TH and Rainforest both have PPO Breakfasts so busses have to be running for those!

I sure hope it's true and they sort it out soon. I'd love for this to be available as a FP when we are able to book FP! That way it would be all settled and we wouldn't need re-shuffling later. Fingers and toes crossed!!!!

I'm kinda ready to stop with the juggling act already!! :jumping1: I mean...I'll do it if I NEED to, but it sure would be nice not to have to. I've f-i-n-a-l-l-y got our plans how I want them. Hopefully everything can stay put and RoL will just easily fit right into the windows that I (and everyone else!) have been saving for it! :-)
