***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Yes I think it's really do able as well. We've got a similar day planned - smart saving your FP for Toy Story and hitting GMR first.
We're doing PPO H&V and while DH gets seated DD and I will sign up for Jedi Training. Hope to get that done maybe for a 10:30am show. After breakfast we're headed straight to star wars land for M&G, Star Tours, and Launch bay. Then Jedi training, maybe take a show break, and then maybe ToT/RnR? We have lunch at 12:45pm at 50s prime time. Hmm maybe I should try to snag dinner at Sci fi?
Oh great plan! Nice that your DD would ride RnR and ToT!

As for Sci Fi, if you think you will eat there, then get the ADR just as a placeholder for now?

I hate to be a Negative Nancy, but at this point I think anyone staying at a Monorail resort won't be receiving a discount.

I have no facts to base this on, so purely speculating. But the reason I'm doubting it is because Poly and CR are both sold out during my week. GF had maybe one room category left last time I checked.

Did you try looking for a 'magical deal'? I think got a good discount with that agency for my stay from Dec 6-12 at CR...

No, I already have a TA who is a friend of a friend. I booked direct last time, and a friend of mine invited me to join the TA's Disney Planning fb page. She helped me soooo much! I think I said it here already, planning/going to Disney as a mom was completely different than as a child or on my adult trips!!! She even snail mailed maps to me with recommendations. So this December trip I had originally booked myself, but then contacted her- she booked a new one, and then I cancelled mine. I also transferred the cruise from DCL to her.- I think that's why I didn't get an onboard credit, they might get paid less if you transfer your reservation instead of book with them originally.

Oh I see, that's great she helped you a lot! trip seems very tailored to your needs so that helps a lot. Hmm if it helps, for the first part of my stay at AKL, I got a unique offer code from Disney. It leads me to believe they will offer room discounts. I just don't know when they would release it. I saw some discounts for Poly and GF, for CR only the more expensive rooms.

I check every day for a pin code! I'm in the tower in a theme park view room, not club level, but if a 25-30% for club only theme park view came out I would switch.

The room price is actually a lot less than our poly theme park view was last year, but like I said, this time I'm trying to justify double the price of our stay now that I added the tour, a discount would help that! Hopefully one gets released.

I'm way too high strung and too much of a control freak to let her plan or do my dining for me. So it's still pretty much the same as booking it myself. But I do ask her questions, especially with the cruise, this will be our first time on DCL and her family has done several, so it's great to have that knowledge combing with my own crazy research lol

Oh I hope so too! I was hoping to get a discount on a theme park view but there wasn't any with the code I got. For a regular rate, it's an extra usd 2500.00 for my entire stay and I just couldn't justify it.... We have just a standard room right now.

I understand totally!

Hopefully one a general public discount will come out. Has that ever happened when a resort was already sold out? It doesn't seem like they would hold back rooms to offer for a discount

I think they do. With the code I did not see any theme park views or any other view except for a garden wing 1 bedroom suite but when I looked at it without any discounts, garden view, lake view and theme park views were all available!!

Yacht club has had only club level rooms available from the very beginning with the unique offer code as well. We were able to book BC, but maybe that is because BC is only 20%, whereas YC is 30%.

could do room service too but this will allow me to check my bags in at the lobby and not have to deal with them at the airport.

I think I am truly there. Only thing I am still holding is a backup of BoG for party night if I can get Ohana earlier in the trip however I'm about 90% of the way to just abandoning that idea at all and just sticking with what i've got right now. Maybe will try to get a lunch in on my last day, no availability right now, just to see the place.

That sounds great!!! Great you have decided on a pretty much final ADR list! :) I'm with you about BOG and Ohana on Dec 8. But for me, I kind of want to be in the park so I feel BOG would work better? I think they have not released any times after 6:10 I think? I searched for dinner and the result says it can't find anything from 4-6:10?

seems like they haven't but I do not want to do dinner during the party anyway. I am holding a 5:05 dinner right now that I am 95% sure I will release. it is too bad you have more people than me (it is just for 2). Since we will be at the poly anyway I think the 3:30 dinner would work just fine, we'll just get cleaned up from the pool and head for a late lunch/early dinner and then hop the monorail to the MK. we'll prob be there 5:30 at the latest which is well before the party starts. If I was planning to be at MK beforehand it might be different. My only slight reservation is having such a heavy meal and then touring the park afterward (vs. having a heavy meal and then parking somewhere for a nighttime show) but I think it is early enough in the day that we can show up, do a few fast passes (I will probably try to schedule one from 4:30-5:30,5:30-6:30 and if they will let me do a 6:30 that one too) on things like peter pan and pirates (no thrill rides lol) and we should be all digested by party time and ready for a snack lol. The other times I could potentially do Ohana if I could get a cancellation would be arrival night, which is uncertain due to flight coming in at 5:10pm and AK night and after doing a lot more research on Y&Y I think i want to keep that ADR and stay at AK til it closes, either with or without nighttime activities (though if it's the jungle book show will probably leave earlier and catch another nighttime show somewhere else). I think that leaves me with the most non-stressful flexibility.

NOW I just need F! packages to be released. When I book it, I am printing out the confirmation that says 1TS in case they try to pull any funny stuff :-p

so I can't play by ear. I decided to make an ADR at the wave. I know we could just get room service but... I don't know! Going to want to be out and about I think!

For me, on Xmas party day I would prefer to be in MK instead of going to Ohana because we are already in CR, no sense in going around the monorail. I'm really leaning towards cancelling Ohana.
Thinking about changing my AK plans... DH does not seem too keen on spending a lot of time there... to change this though, I need to change dinner on Dec 3 from TH to Tiffins then Dec 6 early breakfast at TH, later lunch at Y&Y. Then an earlier dinner at Narcoosee's on the 4th to see if we can spend the evening there. So much changes though!!
Yes I'm so impatient for the F! Package to come out too.

So glad I have you guys to talk to! My DH just ignores me when I bring up dining options at Disney! Lol :P
haha my kid doesn't want to hear it. "mom, that all sounds the same to me!" he doesn't care at all about when things are, just that he gets to do them lol.

yeah, for you it is extra hassle. for us i think we'll swim around lunchtime then shower and change and head down for dinner to be there before they open and then hit the monorail for the party. except for it being a heavy meal it is pretty much ideal. I mean I guess we could control ourselves but what is the fun of that? lol I have a feeling when they put that bread pudding in front of me I am going to stuff it down lol
