1st week of August

We will be there the first week of August. We are coming from Oklahoma and are accustomed to the 90-100 degree temps out here but not sure about the weather out there. Our travel agent was not very helpfull about our trip except how much $ she needed. We are 1st timers there and will need help on what to expect. And is it very busy the first week of August?

We will there during that time too!!! Yeah it hot - REAL HOT!!! Its usually very humid and it rains daily mid afternoon!!! But trust me, you look forward to that rain (20- 30 of rain)!!!! It then usually cools off. Last year we went during that Hurricane near the coast. It was like 75 degrees outside with no rain and a nice breeze (the luck). The only day it rained was the day we went to MK (off and on all day). Then later in that week it was warmer, but the skies were clear!!!!

Be prepared to pre-buy those misty fans (Walmart - around $6 - $8) Dress to peel - and bring extra clothes for the little ones. Buy plenty of Disney Dollars for drinks, waters, juices, sodas, ice cream, and other cool drinks - or just prepare to send a mint in cash. Or visit local stores and stock up on these cool items and carry them with you. Prepare your feet with shoes that are comfortable and allow air (and/or use moleskins).

August is fun to me. Its the excitement of all the people, longer park hours, and more scheduled shows. Yeah it also comes with longer lines, heat and rain - but so what - YOU'RE GOING TO DISNEY - ENJOY!!!

We will arive in Florida on 7-31 I an driving the whole way. I see that you are close to us. Do you fly or drive? I cant get mother on a plane. hahaha.You seem to be an old pro at this. how old are the travel companions in your group? Ours are 9-13-15-16 and of course myself and mother that comae in around age 12.
