Yeah, I had read some negative reviews in the past, then I saw this thread....

All really favorable reviews! We really like that type of food, and there aren't a whole lot of choices for TS at AK, so we're gonna give it a try.

'Ohana - dinner (we did breakfast last time and loved it)

Notice that's 8 and we only have 7 table services! Something's gotta go!

We weren't too impressed with Chef Mickey last time we ate there, and we did CRT last trip, too, so we won't do that again this time. I suggested SciFi to DH (since that's all he watches) and he said no!

Hopefully we can get most of the ones we want. Has anyone ever booked ADRs online before? I guess you get on bright and early and try to secure your more popular choices first?

I booked some adr's last time online on my last trip when I changed some ressies about a month before I went. Was pretty easy. DO you know what time we can book them online? Is it after midnight, or in the morning?

Did you use dining credits for CRT? I am thinking breakfast and wondering if I should use 2 dining credits or just pay oop.

We paid OOP for CRT. It's definitely something you have to do at least once! As a kid, I always wanted to "eat in the castle" so it was exciting to take my DD last trip. Lots of princesses, the food was pretty good, and just the atmosphere is awesome!

By the way, is your "Bree" short for something? I have an "Aubrey"...I picked her name partly b/c I loved the nickname Bree, but so far, it just hasn't caught on. She's only 7 months, so hopefully there's still time! Oh, and my name is Heather, too.

Oh cool, Heather's a good name Bree is short for Breanna. I too LOVED the nickname Bree. It did take some time to get it to stick though. Probably b/c she insisits her name is "Belle" (her fave princess ) I love the name Aubrey-so pretty! Bree is an excellent nickname for Aubrey, it goes so well! I really want to do CRT with her. I'm thinking of doing BBB that day and getting her all dressed up like Belle and then taking her to CRT for a late breakfast She wanted to dress like Belle when we went in June but it was just waaay to hot to wear a princess gown in the park I thought. SO hoping Decembers temps will be better for that!

I am at POR from November 28th to December 5th too!

I am taking the opportunity to take two girls who work at the local watering hole I go to all the time. I am so excited to share it with them. One has only gone twice and has never stayed on-site, the second one has never been at all and has no idea what to even expect. We talk about it constantly.

I am so happy to share with people who mean so much to me!

Oh, that's great to hear! We are trying mostly new restaurants this time, and I'm really excited about YnY!

So we will be there same time, same resort! I think I figured our ADR day is August 30th...is that right?

Looks like you are arriving 1 day before me and my adr day is Aug 31, so yup yours should be Aug 30! Good luck! Hope your able to get everything you want!

We're staying at AKL Nov 29 - Dec 5. We'll have the Quick Service dining plan so we're only planning to make one ADR - hopefully at 'Ohanas for breakfast on DS's birthday.

Oh there are so many to choose from that we want to do, I haven't narrowed down the list yet but some choices include:

Crystal Palace (dinner this is a absolute)
Boma for dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe (this is absolute as it is DH fav.)
Tusker House for BK.
O'hana's dinner of course (the wings....mm mmm)
Chef Mickey's for dinner

Thinking about Garden Grill (nervous over the motion sick thing)
Also thinking about Coral Reef too

I have to figure out when my date is to start calling.

Anyone know where that calculator is at?

CP package w/ Biergarten (still on the fence with this one...any advice?)

Sci-Fi for lunch (even though we've heard so many mixed reviews, we're going to try it)

I'm not too worried...these don't seem so cut-throat.

11/29 Arrive @ Noon-Hang out @ Hotel, Possibly head to Beachs N Cream for a Kitchen Sink CS for dinner

11/30 DHS day. Dinner @ Sci-Fi around 5-6ish

12/1 MVMCP Early Dinner @ The Plaza (4-5 ish)

12/2 AK day, Late Dinner @ Cape May Cafe (7 ish)

12/3 Relax day, check out resorts. Breakfast O'Hana, Late Dinner @ WCC

12/4 MK day, HOPEFULLY early breakfast at CRT , Late dinner @ Chef Mickeys

12/5 Downtown Disney, Leave @ Noon to come home

Looks like we are possibly skipping Epcot this time, but I *may* change my mind and add an extra day to our passes and do 1/2 day at Epcot. We'll see.

My wife, DD9 and DS5 are flying down Thanksgiving Day and will be staying at ASM. We are doing quick-service with no ADR's. Here is our plan at the moment:

Friday, Nov. 27: MK 9 -1, nap/swim, MK 5-10

Saturday, Nov. 28: DS(EMH) 8-1, nap/swim, Epcot 5-9:30

Sunday, Nov. 29: MK 9-?, rest of day at resort

Monday, Nov. 30: AK (EMH) 8-1, nap/swim, Epcot 5-9:30 (end the night with Illuminations)

Tuesday, Dec. 1: Epcot (EMH) 8-12, nap/swim, AK 4-7

Wednesday, Dec. 2: MK 9-1, nap/swim, MK 5-8 (end the vacation with Spectromagic and Wishes!)

Thurday, Dec. 3: Fly home

We stayed up late making our dining plans but haven't made official ADRs yet. We're going to wait for the December hours..hope they are up tomorrow. If they don't post the hours we'll go ahead and make our reservations and make changes as needed once we see the schedule.

We may be out of the norm but we only make breakfast ADRs. We like to start the day with a big sit down meal. Then we eat often and on the run throughout the day to avoid what we have come to call "Disney World Hungry". That's the hungry you get by waiting in line too long or going on just one more ride when you really need to eat, etc. My family can get very grumpy so we have learned it is better for us to eat small meals all day.

I have to say that it has been more difficult this year since there are fewer choices for breakfast now. We will especially miss Boatwright's for breakfast...love the sweet potato pancakes!


Again, hope those December hours are out soon.

We did our ADRs yesterday and got everything we wanted, too! I had to switch my Graden Grill and LeCellier days to get LeC for dinner, but it worked out fine. I'm glad that's done with! I'm ready to eat!!!

Other than GG and LeC, we booked Akershus, Yak and Yeti, The Plaza, 'Ohana, and Boatwright's. Most of them are new for us, so we're excited about that!
