so excited to plan a trip for my family! it will be our first time!!! (i visited when i was younger but that was back when it only consisted of 2 parks). it is myself, dh, ds (9), and dd (14 mos). i plan on visiting each park once and wanted to see what kind of itinerary i should make. i understand i need to make a plan; but i also want to feel relaxed and on vacation. i'm looking for a general park agenda, not something down to the minute. also any ideas on how to handle the thrill rides? myself and ds love coasters...dh may try a few. but what to do about dd? how does the child swap work? speaking of dd, what rides will she be able to do? thanks ahead of time for any and all infinite wisdom.

I have been to both Disneyland and Disneyworld when my son was 8 weeks and 4 months respectively. It was actually pretty easy. The child swap works great. Before you get into a line, ask the cast member for a rider swap card. One parent sits with your dd, while the other one takes your son on a ride. Once they are done, you switch. It means if your son really likes the rides he can ride twice. The rider swap allows up to 3 people. Also the cards didn't have a time stamp or date on them at Disney World, so you could save them for whatever time of the day you wanted them for. Also your daughter can go on any ride with you that doesn't have a height requirement. Examples, Pirates is fine, small world, dumbo, etc. I would recommend It's a Small World. Kid's love all the bright colors. If you want a general itinerary please personal message me. I would love to help you out and give you more tips.
