Hi! I'm new to this board. I've decided to take my very first ever trip to WDW (never even went as a kid) :goodvibes . After reading some of the forums in here I've decided to do a solo trip. I have NO IDEA how to plan for a trip to WDW. I have ordered the WDW planning package, is that all I'll need to plan my trip? Will the video give me lots of visual on the resorts, theme parks, ect.? Where do I start? What do I do? Any help any of you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I wasn't sure if this was the forum I should post this in but I AM CANADIAN, so I thought it would be as good a place as any. Thanks!

Welcome to the Disboards! I'm going on my own for the first time next weekend. You'll find a wealth of information on all the boards here!

Have fun!

My best advice is....ask lots of questions. People on these boards are GREAT at helping. No question is too dumb. When we found these boards (even though we had been to Disney before) we learned a LOT of new things, and we asked SOOO many questions.

Welcome ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Disney is huge and can be very overwhelming. The video will give a quick glimpse at the resorts but nothing in depth. If you check the resorts board you can read up on each one and see what theme suits you best.

Hi and welcome to the Canadian DIS! I have gone to Disney a couple of times now, on my own and have had no problems doing anything I wanted to do, so don't feel shy when you are there!

Take a look through the Disney vacation planner, read through the various forums here on the DIS and get an idea of where you would like to stay, what restaurants and what you would like to do in the parks, etc. and then ask all the questions you want. No question is ever silly!

You are going to have a great time planning your first-ever trip! :goodvibes
