1st trip to VB

going 1st of Sept, a 0ne BR. Is there a preferred area I should request? Can you surf fish right off the beach at the resort? Has anyone booked a private offshore 1/2 day fishing trip? Any recommendations? My wife and I plan to do a fishing excursion while dwn there.

We just stayed there. The villas are a bit back from the beach, but we enjoyed the décor, layout and cleanliness. We did not care for the food at the resort and I would bring food to make in the villa or eat off-site. We loved the beach and spent most of our time there. You are allowed to surf fish - we asked when we checked in (we had our rods, but never got around to it). All in all we enjoyed our vacation there very much.
