I posted this on the DVC area, but thought I'd try here, too. We've been to WDW more times than I can count, but, a week from today, we'll be at the DLR for the first time. We'll be there 3 nights (at the GC) with 2 days in the parks (w/ hoppers). I feel the need to eat at Ralph Brennan's and the Blue Bayou. Where else would you suggest? It'll be me, DH, and DD who's 22. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I'm glad you said the Blue Bayou because that is tops on my list. The food is pretty good. I know I enjoyed what I had. But the ambiance is AMAZING. For dessert this have this boat that's fully edible...and yummy.

Ariel's Grotto is yummy and a Princess Dinner.

Minnie & Friends is a GREAT breakfast.

I can't remember what else we did last year. But this year we're also doing Goofy's Kitchen and Lilo & Stitch Breakfasts and dinner at the Wine Country Tratoria.

There's lots of little yummy places too. In New Orleans Square there is a little window service place that is SO GOOD. They have bread bowls and some other stuff. Throughout our stay last time we got one of everything they had. All good. And there's Dips and Strips inside one of the shows...I'm blanking on the name...the little western show they have.

These are both great but you might want to add Steakhose 55 or Napa Rose to your list.

Storyteller Cafe at the Grand Californian has a very good dinner buffet. No characters, but good food.

ESPN Zone has very good food, if you either like sports or can ignore the theming. Wine Country Trattoria was a WONDERFUL dinner experience, as well. Very good food.

Cafe Orleans in NOS was pretty good too. We ate breakfast there last weekend. My other picks you are already going to. Tortilla Joe's is pretty good too.

On the whole, food at Disneyland is not exciting compared to WDW. Try to rachet-down your expectations. Its strange because California has a lot to offer food-wise, but you'd hardly know it by visiting DLR. I wish I could recommend somewhere but usually I find that breakfast is the only meal that doesn't gall me at DLR; its hard to screw up a Mickey pancake or waffle. Storytellers is usually quite pleasant. I do enjoy Yamabuki at Paradise Pier on occasion if you like Japanese food. The rest is just atmosphere.
