Hey All,
So our first trip as DVC owner's is coming up in a couple of weeks and I have a couple of questions.

We booked a 2br savannah view at Kidani. I have made the requests to be on a low floor and to be near the community hall already. Should I call or email this week to verify our requests? Or call the actual hotel itself? I am aware these are requests...

I have a bunch of stuff packed already. I know, I know I am a loon! Anyways I was wondering if the Kidani gift shop sells packaged bagels and more specifically hot dog rolls in the event I can not fit them in my luggage. What other "staples" does the shop sell? Sorry for the silly questions. We are brand new and I have never even been to AKL.
Thank you so much everyone!

Congrats on your first trip. For your request is is best to call MS.

The store will usually have bread, bagels, hot dog and hamburger buns. The store at Jamboree may have a better selection or at least more stock.

If you have a car better off to go to Publix.......it close by and will save you money.

Requests should be attached to the reservation. The resort doesn't want direct contact.

On the member website somewhere is a order list of the food available at the different resorts.

Many members use a grocery delivery service if they plan on needing more than a few items.

On the member website is discount info for Owners Locker. A service that rents you a locker to keep your stuff in between visits.

We stayed at AKV for the first time last month and we'd placed a Garden Grocer order (there were 8 of us), which I highly recommend! In terms of food in the shop, I don't specifically remember seeing hot dog buns, but I'd think if they sell hot dogs (I assume you aren't bringing those along) they certainly sell buns. They definitely sell bagels. We thought the food selection was actually pretty decent. They sell some pastries in the shop and also sell hot breakfast sandwiches in the mornings. We probably could have gotten almost everything we needed there, except that my dad needed grape juice (he mixes it with pectin for arthritis). The shop sells cereal, bagels, bacon, sausage, some frozen meals, orange juice, milk, water, condiments, peanut butter, jelly, and lots of other stuff.

Thank you guys. I have an order with GG that I placed a month ago and I noticed I forgot hot dog rolls and Bagels. I figured I would just get them on site if I could not get them in my bag.
