ok we are total newbies to this. As far as food and supplies I think we are good. We are in a cabin and I'm bringing extra blankets and pillows (forecast is cold-I live in SoFla and 50s is cold!) I see we need salt, pepper and coffee filters. Anything extra we should bring? I'm not a camper so this is new to me. I'm thinking 1 bottle of OFF as its not really bug season.
My hubby isnt sure now if he can come-work calls-so I'm a little nervous 3 kids and me (a total troop beverly hills kinda mom) so any extra advice, hints or necessities is appreciated, and maybe some extra pixie dust...

These are not my list, but they are good list.

If your planing on cooking remember any spices, sauces, foil, etc. Also there is no pizza pan, cutter.

First, the cabins are stocked with extra pillows and blankets (not that many, so you are already planning on bringing some...you should be set). There is also central heat/air, so cool nights shouldn't be a problem.

Kitchen items are mostly stocked for you, but you will need coffee, coffee filters (basket), salt, pepper, jelly, jam, butter, and general groceries. Charcoal and grilling tools, if you are planning on using the outdoor grill.

Living room: DVD's (your choices and some for the kids), games, and whatever other items that you view to be a necessity.

Clothing, hygiene supplies...just like you might take to a hotel.

Bathrooms: stocked with bathroom paper and towels (thin and not very large).

Parks: jackets, rain gear (ponchos and/or compact umbrella), backpack (to carry items), camera, tylenol (or favorite pain pills), blister aids, water bottles (refillable), snacks (kids and yourself), and cell phone. Make note of the time schedule for the water launches and buses...this is especially helpful for when you are returning to the campground after park closure. I would also recommend that you bring a small flashlight to use for walking back to your cabin after the internal bus drops you off at your loop at night...and speaking of night, you might want to bring a couple of night lights (kids fear of the dark and for those midnight calls of nature).

Hope this gets you started and I also hope you have a wonderful time.
