1st timer with questions

Hi everyone! I have been browsing these boards for awhile now and the information here is invaluable! We are doing the 4night land/3 night sea vacation beginning May 1, 2004. We will be staying at the Beach Club and cruising on the Wonder. I can't wait! I do have a couple questions and perhaps you guys can help!

1) My dd is DYING to get her hair braided (all this time and money and all she worries about is braids!) Will there be someplace either at one of the resort areas, or on the ship to get this done or will she have to wait until we get to Nassau?

2) My 77 year old grandma is going with us. She's more excited than the 8 yr old! Any tips for seniors?

3) Has anyone tried the parasailing at Castaway Cay? What other excursions in Nassau or Castaway Cay would you recommend?

Yes, you can get your hair braided on the ship, make to schedule and appt.

You can also get your hair braided on castaway cay. I'd be nervous about Nassau because there have been mixed reviews (concerns about cleanliness, the hair falls out in a week, etc.).

Don't have any tips for seniors, but I'm looking forward to seeing what people say because the in-laws are joining us for our next cruise.

My DH parasailed our first cruise. He and DS were going to tandem, but DS was scared to go. DH said it was kind of neat, but he didn't really think it was worth the money. He said once you got up there, you just kind of floated, and he's a more active kind of guy. He got a lot more enjoyment out of the fishing excursion. I think Tony has done the parasailing and they wrote it up in one of their trip reports. I'll provide the link to their page, and if Barb or Tony read this post, maybe they can point you to the specific trip report that has the info in it.

Many places to get your hair braided. I think you can get the best price at Nassau. I forget the price, barter a bit for sure.
