1st timer questions-please help

My husband and I are planning to take our triplet boys to Disney in April for our 10th Anniversary. The boys will be five at that time. We are planning on staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Does it make sense to all of you experts to book two rooms now and hope for codes OR should we book a Jr. Suite and hope for a code? If we do book now, how much money do we have to put down as a deposit?
Also, is it more cost effective to rent a vehicle large enough for three kids in booster seats and keep it for our entire stay OR I've noticed that people have a Town Car pick them up. Is this a better option and can 5 people(with 3 in booster seats) fit. Do the rental companies have booster seats available? We plan to go to MK, Disney MGM and Epcot.

Please help! I'm new to this and need some expert advice.

Welcome to the Dis Tripletrouble I can't answer too many of your questions, but typically your deposit will equal one room night of your reservation, the balance due upon check-in.

You might want to post your car questions on the transportation boards. In addition to expense, their are issues of convenience with towncar vs. rental car.

If I were you I would reserve the room or rooms I wanted as soon as I knew when I was going. It is better to wait for a code to apply to your room then it is to wait to reserve a room when codes come out. What you want may no longer be available. Also, keep on top of things. By that I mean watch for the release date of codes. Here on the DIS lots of people watch and if you stay tuned in here you will most likely be one of the first to know about code releases. Then call CRO right away, first thing in the morning on the day codes are released to apply them to your reservation. If you wait a few days/weeks after the codes have been released there is always a chance you will not be able to apply them to your reservation because CRO only has a set # of rooms they are allowed to offer at the different discounts. Once they are gone, that's it unless someone cancels.

We don't rent a car to get to Disney because we are lucky enough to live within driving distance so we always have our own car. That being said, we usually use Disney transportation exclusively to get around to the parks even though our car is in the lot. The only time we appreciate having our own vehicle is if we are not staying in an Epcot resort and want to get to the Boardwalk area. Then having your own wheels comes in handy. If you do rent a car for your entire stay, I am pretty sure they have booster seats to rent too.

Doesnt WL have rooms for five people? I have never stayed there but I thought they had a day bed.
That would save you alot of money if you only needed one room.
Unless ofcourse you wanted two rooms.

My only suggestion is to let a Disney "specialist" take care of your reservation. They will be constantly on the look out for discounts and will adjust your reservations price for you. No need to worry about codes, discounts, etc. They will take care of this and make your priority seatings if you want them to. Saves a lot of time, hassle, worrying, etc.
This year we used Small World Vacations (WDWVacations.com) from the mousesaver.com site. They saved us $800.00 and we did not have to do a thing! It's all FREE too!!!!!!
You might also want to check out Dreams Unlimited from this site. Let the people who know Disney (NOT a "regular" travel agent) take care of you!
I also suggest you post your transportation question on the transportation board for some expert advice.

I am not sure if there ever are codes for the junior suites. Someone else might know. Another option for you would be to book a room at a hotel that can accom 5 people. The poly,cabin at fl,gf, contemp- these are all near the mk also

That's so cool! WE are taking our triplet girls (4) to WL next month. I am only taking two of them this time. What i would check on is a deluxe room at the AKL. I think they have room for 5. Or i'd book a std room x2 and just wait for rates. It's so expensive for us is'nt it. I alway have to get two rooms because the nanny usually travels with us and it just makes sense to get two but boy is it expensive. So save up and go ahead and book now.
