We are going to wdw 1st week of June,we have a 5 day hopper pass and also want to go to Kennedy Space Center and the beach one day.We will arive by plane in Orlando , Sunday the 1st of June @ 11am. I was planning to hit AK that afternoon and stay until closing . And then doing MK. MGM & Epcot 1 day each. I need to know if this will work and what days is best for which parks crowdwise. I am afraid this will be the ONLY time my dh will want to go to wdw so I want to get in as much as possible. Also has anyone toured Kennedy Space center? I can't find much info on it. FYI my kids are 9 and 12. Oh, we are flying out the 7th of June @ noon so I didn't plan anything for that last day except getting to the airport.

Sorry, we are staying at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort and yes I have been to the website but I can't find an address to map out directions from our hotel and info on the eating facilities.

We went to the KSC in the spring of 2000. I am glad we went, but don't really have any desire to see it again. We got to see part of the space station that was being constructed at the time, got to tour a "mock" space shuttle, and took a bus tour of the property. I am wondering if they still do the bus tour, since 9/11. We also got to go up into an observation tower where you could see the shuttle sitting on the launch pad. They also had some IMAX movies, saw one but cannot recall it at all! There is a nice memorial there for the Challenger astronauts, and a rather large gift shop and museum with one of the old rockets. The only food I remember was the fast food variety. If my memory serves me, it took us between one and one and a half hours to get there from Orlando. Most of the people there the day we went were German or Japanese, which I found kind of interesting. At the time, my kids were 14, 11 and 7. The 14 year old's favorite movie was Apollo 13, so she loved it. My son (11) also enjoyed it. My little one was bored most of the time, but she did like the mock space capsule and the observation tower.

If your plane doesn't arrive until 11 am and you still need to get your baggage and rental car or ride you probably don't have enough time to hit up AK. They close early (usually 5pm). Even if you skip going to the hotel first to check in, you probably wouldn't arrive until 12:30-1. That wouldn't leave much time.

Actually if you have a park hopper, you could do AK and then go hit up world showcase after. Then possibly do anything you missed in AK another day and then hit up futureworld at epcot.

In my opinion AK nor MGM takes a full day to explore. I would change my plans some and see epcot on your first day. Then do AK early in the morning and MGM in the afternoon. You could be done with AK by about 2:00 and then head over to MGM until closing. On your next day you should do MK (probably all day). Your last day could be spent finishing Epcot and then ending with your favorite park.....My best advise is to know the parks before you go. Study the guide maps and know where you want to go and an idea of how to get there. You could waste alot of time wondering around trying to find something. I also wouldn't try to see all the attractions. I let everybody pick out there favorites and go from there. Have fun!!!!
