Hi!:wave2:

We have been surfing this site for a little while for our trip. We have learned MANY valuable things thanks to all of you! A little background about our trip: DH and I both went ONCE to Disney as kids but have never been back...I know sad, sad, sad. We are leaving today to take our 3 1/2 year old for his first trip and to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. We booked this trip sort of short notice so we are flying by the seat of our pants on a lot of fronts. To say we are excited is an understatement...so much so that I forgot to research about how to get there! :rotfl:

We live in GA and are currently near Macon, GA coming I-75 south. Could someone please give us step by step instructions coming from here on how to get to the Fort? I seem to remember reading somewhere not to use yahoo maps with the address or something to that effect so that's why I'm asking. Don't know if it matters or not but we're driving a 42' rig.

Thanks so much for the help! I look forward to getting to know y'all and post our TR!

Come 75 and get on the turnpike in Wildwood. Follow it until you see the 429. Once you're on that you should see signs to Disney.

I-75 S

Get off at exit 328 (approximately 140 miles from Georgia/Florida State Line, approximately 107 miles from I-10)

Travel on Florida Turnpike to Exit 267A (429S) (approximately 42 miles)

Tolls on the main Turnpike will be $2.50 for a standard vehicle. (More for additional axles).

Travel on 429S to Exit 8 (Disney World/Hartzog Rd) (approximately 14 miles)

Tolls on 429S to Disney World will be just $1.25 as the Disney World Exit doesn't appear to charge a toll. (More for additional axles)

This road will take you to West Buena Vista Dr near Coronado Springs.

Turn left on West Buena Vista Dr, then proceed in the left lane to World Dr.

Turn left onto World Drive then go through the Magic Kingdom Toll Booth in the farthest right GUEST lane. Tell them you are going to Fort Wilderness.

As you leave the toll booth, watch to your right for buses and take an IMMEDIATE right to Vista Blvd. The Fort will be on your left. Enter at the sign!!

Thanks so much! All I kept telling my DH was I know when we get to the gate we need to be in the far right lanes. Finally he said well that's great but what's the best way to get to the gate?? :rotfl2: We have a GPS but I don't trust it for this mission. We're rolling as I type so the info is much appreciated! Thanks again and hope to see some of you there this week.
