1st Time Poster Here!

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting on disboards... I've been lurking around here for a while now.. I am going to be going to DisneyWorld for the 1st time this September for my honeymoon.. We have decided to stay at the Polynesian.. just wondering what everyone thought about that resort & what are the must do for "honeymooners".. I look forward to hearing some responses!

I can't really give you much advice about the Honeymoon tips, but you are going to love the Poly. It is our favorite resort! If you can, get a lagoon view. Waking up and seeing Cinderella's castles every morning and watching it change colors every night is magical.

Welcome to the Dis! I was at Poly last week and I think you will love it! We ate dinner at Ohana's twice and I highly recommend it, Kona Cafe is good too. There are some really nice viewing spots along the beach for Wishes (perhaps you can find a romantic spot ). Be sure to tell the CM that it is your honeymoon, they may throw some extra "magic" your way. I mentioned that my parents were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and we were surprised with a bunch of balloons and an "autographed" picture of mickey, minnie, and the rest of the gang. My parents were soooo surprised!

No matter what you do, you are sure to have a great time, enjoy it!

My first and still my favorite...the POLY!

Please make sure you spend ample time just "walking around and soaking in the atmosphere of the POLY. ...especially at night with the torches...and lagoon....and the MK view...OMG I wish I was back there right now!

You are going to LOVE the Poly! I was going to suggest watching Wishes from the beach also-get there early so you can get a hammock or swing. The Poly is just so magical at night with the music and tiki torches. The walk to GF is nice too.

I don't really have any honeymoon tips, always visited with the kids, but you are gonna love the Poly!! So gorgeous, laid-back and relaxing, lovely island atmosphere with wonderful cm's who say "Aloha!" everytime you meet! I second the Ohana recommendation, and Kona Cafe is a very underrated restaurant, IMO.
