1st Time on Wonder - HELP!!

Darn - she saw the menu on another link and wanted to go. The KTTW cards - are they different colors or how are they marked as under 18 and does she need her card to eat there?

This is the hardest thing I"ve done in like forever! My brother called me to tell me that he called DCL to see if any rooms were left in case I could manage to get away - he said they were full.

My SIL beeps me (we have nextel) and says she called Disney this am and there are a couple rooms that became available. She just wanted to let me know - LOL

And perfect timing - my daughter decides that its time to cleam out her drawers this weekend. So i had the opportunity to ask what fit and what didn't and what was her favorite. (did i mention that she doesn't know we're cruising with my brother's family on the 27th?)

Looking good - now if I can just swing changing to 1st seating and scoring Palo ressie's life will be good.

Although I am a little concerned about the weather. It was 48 here in FL last nite and its only 68 today. Where is that sun when u want it?

Michelle
:cheer2:

You did great with the clothes. Now all you have to do is pack them.

My Dh still has no idea either. Although he is asking about some missing clothes. I told him they would show up and basically blew him off. Poor sole. It will be great when we get there. Please bring back the warm weather.!!!!!!!!

You can always try it... just book the ressie... and see what happens.... if she gets kicked out - you can still eat and tell her all about it....You don't have to show a card or anything... she'll just need to act like she belongs there.....somehow... I think most 16 yr old girls can do that....

Good Luck!

Well that is good news. If its a maturity thing then there is no doubt she'll get in. Last year on the Navigator her and 2 others made ressie's on their own for Chops. Not knowing they were there, our party of ten came in as they were finishing and we had the same waiters. They kept commenting on how mature and repsectful they were for teenagers. And were shocked that they made the ressie's all on their own.

So I think she'll be ok in Palo.

1 week from TOMORROW!! Time flies when you aren't prepared - LOL

I know what you mean. All of a sudden I do not feel like I am organized anymore. I did manage to get the letter sone for my nephew from Mickey and mailed it this morning. I was so excited that they had a Mickey stamp. I hope he and my brother do not figure out it was me, yet.

I made the paper draft for the magnets last night. I feel like I am missing something and do not know what it is.

I guess I will make the tip envelopes tonight.

Maybe when I get the suitcase back out and pack some more I will feel better.

The weather ere is a little scary as well. My brother is coming from Rochester and they are getting snow over the next week. We are supposed to get snow and ice.

Please send pixie dust that we do not get snowed in. We are flying down on the day we sail.

If you think of anything I have forgotten please let me know. We will hopefully get our docs this weekend (our TA is on a cruise and due back Friday). :boat:

WOW - you haven't got your docs? I booked mine last minute with a GTY on the 7th and got mine last week. I'd be panicing about now. I am such a worry wort when it comes to having everything "completed" - LOL

What is the magnet thing you are talking about? Is there a link for the envelopes? I know I used to have one for the mousekeepers when we stayed on property but I can't find it. If you have it would you mind sending it my way? Thanks

:grouphug: Lets all do the "SUNSHINE WEATHER" dance. LOL

Michelle

I read somewhere they would pack food to go from Palo's. Might give that a try. Have a great trip.

resist the temptation to plan everything. Get up in the morning and take your Personal Navigator to breakfast. That will help you decide what you want to do. Grab the Birnbaums for a good description of the Nassau excursions and take a look on the TV in your room for more excursion info.

Most of all RELAX...let the mouse do the work :earboy2:

Here is the link for the envelopes. I adjusted mine for the cruise

Just me being a worry wart -

Airports are snowed in and they are talking Tueday before they can get most of the poeple caught up on flights. Guess this is a good time to live here in FL.

The Mariner pulled in with 250 sick passengers from NORWALK!!!

My daughter flunked Spanish 3 and has a "foreign language" evaluation since she is in the IB program here in FL. Guess when it is??? YEP the 28th.

SO I had to tell her that we were sailing with my brother. It actually was ok, she was impressed that I packed most of her cool stuff. Only changed a couple things - of course it was shoes. (KUDOS for me!!!)

fairey gm - did you get snow from this blizzard type weather? You are flying in the day of the cruise aren't you? What time do you arrive? *crossing my fingers for better weather for ya**

Oh yeah did I mention that there is FREEZE warning all over our TV stations this am (sun) about waking up tomorrow in the 20's. Yes you all read right 20's.

And how is your day?

Michelle

1) the "Til We Meet Again" farewell get together in the atrium....10 pm on the last night....great photo opps of the characters and show performers

2) any of the 3 main shows in the Walt Disney Theater...all are spectacular

3) Palo....you will have to forego one of the regular dining restaurants...my opinion, skip Parrot Cay... the show at Animators is too good to miss, and the food and ambiance at Tritons is too good to miss...as per Parrot Cay, you'll be able to sample it's charm and ambiance at the embarkation buffet....do not miss the filet and chocolate souffle at Palo as well...

4) a quick nap on one of the deck 4 lounge chairs

5) chicken tenders from room service and/or Plutos, the oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies from room service, the All Hands on Deck Cheese Platter from room service, escargot appetizer at Tritons, the maple glazed salmon at Animators, ribs and cookie dough soft serve at Cookies BBQ......

6) walking on 1 of the treadmills, all which overlook the bridge, CM pool, and the ocean

7) Rainforest Room and the sauna in the locker room....

8) Taking pics from the deck 7 aft overlook

9) see a "first run" movie in the Buena Vista Theater, if you have time...

10) 730 bingo on the last night...pretty thrilling

11) bike ride at Castaway Cay

Alex - great ideas. Thanks

OK guys 3 days til we sail and guess what the temp was when I drove my daughter to school this am was????????? 36!! I know its nothing like those of you up north.

But 36 is really really cold here in Florida.

I am hoping those of you flying in will be ok with the rescheduling of all the missed flights.

With all the cold lately, anyone know the water temp at CC?

Michelle

I checked the water temp in cc it was 71.

Flights were leaving o time today from Rochester and my DB told me not to worry. DH still does not know, so hopefully the surprise will be a big hit.

Mapped out the airport this morning on the web so I know where to meet everyone and gave them instructions (right down to the smallest detail). I love my sister but sometimes she gets her wires crossed. I will go over it once again and tell my brother as well. All I can say is thank goodness for cell phones.

Dh thinks we are going to San Fran or LA. I hope he will not be to disappointed. I know when we finds out we are going on a cruise he will be glad (fingers crossed)

Hopefully we will get the chance to meet.

The weather is supposed to be in the 70's on Thursday in Orlando. I can live with that since it is in the 20's and 30's here.

FGM - safe to assume you finally got your docs? So when are you going to tell you husband you're coming to Florida to cruise? That is soo cool!

Bowlingariel- I do not plan to tell DH until we get to the ship. I figure when we land in Orlando he will assume we are going to WDW. When we meet up with Mysister and brother that should seal the deal of WDW. The Limo driver has been instructed not to say where we are going. I am hoping he will sleep on the ride until we get there. That is my plan. Now if it plays out, all the better.

u are a genius!

"***** pixie dust*******

coming your way to pull all this off and a safe "ON TIME" flight!

FGM, I think I have compulsive planning disorder too! Our first Disney cruise is Feb /06 and i have been reading the dis boards already for great tips.
We are 3 days on the Wonder so I would love to hear all about your crusie. :flower1:

We just got off the Wonder yesterday! I would not miss Disney Dreams or Golden Mickeys. If you want to skip one of the restaurants, I would skip Parrot Cay unless it is "Pirates IN the Caribbean Night". Do not miss this! It starts at dinner and continues on Deck 9 late into the evening! I don't want to say more because there are lots of cool surprises on this night! Take time to sit in one of the padded loungers on Deck 4. Try to get up early and watch the sun rise or watch the ship put into port! Get your picture taken with Mickey in his tux! If you are traveling with a child, enjoy the smiles on their faces as they soak it all in! Above all, relax and enjoy! :teeth:

Sounds like you had a great time. I am soo excited. I am traveling with my DD-16, and 2 nieces 5 & 2. Those are the ones where the Magic is still amazing. I love to watch them when they see a character. We spent 2 hrs in the Animal Kingdom one day for the 5 yr old looking for Cinderella's mice. Just as we were almost thru the exit turnstile she spots them. And off we go running to get a pic and autograph. She has it framed on her dresser.
