I am soo excited. My brother and nieces are booked on the Wonder for the 27th sailing. They are 5 and 2 - adorable. As a surprise to them and my own daughter (16) I booked us on the same cruise. I can't wait to pull in the port and see their faces when they figure out that we are not just driving them, but joining them.

Ok here's my question -
Since its only 3 days what should we NOT miss?

We usually sail 7 day RCL cruises so this is my & my DD first Disney cruise.
I am soooo excited.

We are on the same cruise and there seems to be alot of surprises on this sailing.

You will not need as much clothes and no formal night. There is a night when you may want to dress nice. It will be the night you are in Tritons.

There are some good shows like the Golden Mickey's and Hercules. Do not miss the sailaway party it is pretty good.

Yeah - no formal nite! I have been on this site reading for the last 2hrs. SOOOO much info.

I loved the pillow case & matte idea. Running to Michael's in the am.

Were you the one that posted about the Disney Disposables at Circuit City? Thats another great idea.

Hey guys! I am on the 30th 4-day Wonder cruise, and I'm just reading through your thread.

Are you saying that CC has disposable Disney cameras? Gosh! What a great idea for the kids!

Do you know how much they are? (Because I think I may buy four, 2 for each kid!!)

Thanks for the tip! (And, I thought I was just about saturated with everything I needed to know!)

We will also be on the 27th (DH DS10 & DS6). I also would love to know what not to miss! I can't even imagine where we are going to find the time to do everything. :crowded: My kids always want to do everything!! :jumping1:

See my problem is I am a cruise junkie and plan my trips to the n-th degree. Since I am surprising my daughter and my brother's family doesn't know we are joining them - I can't pre-arrange much! Its killing me.

Since I waited so long to book I am wait-listed for 1st seating. And had to take a Cat 5 gty. After reading this board Cat 5 gty sounds scary!!

The disposable Disney cameras are from circut city (just for clairification)

I can sympathize with you about the planning. I too am surprising my DH. I have been stealing clothes out of his laundry for some time now. I am about to go crazy keeping this secret. It will all be worth it on the 27th :cool1:

Don't worry about the scary part. A day on the ship beats a day at the office.

I would make an effort not to miss any of the shows and find time to SIT and relax in the deck 4 loungers. And then there's Castaway Cay.

Have a WONDERful time.

Hmmm...I see from my previous post, it won't let me post Calgon's Ultimate Packing List post...don't know why, but here it is a different way:

Let's see if that one works...

Yep! It worked! Now just string those all together! Geez! Too much work for this time of night!

LOL - that is so funny that you were trying to post Calgon's packing list - so was I. I used it the first time I sailed on the Explorer of the Seas.

OMG I picked up the Princess camera last nite at CC - my nieces are going to die!

Anyone know if they assign Gty cabins at the port or before? I've read threads that they give Cat 5 gty's the cabins along the back with the white wall verandah! Lots of complaints. I looked at the deck layout - and I am missing the complaint. Do y'all see how huge those balconys are?

Almost the single digit dance here - 2 weeks from tomorrow :jumping4:

I loved the Princess camera so much I ran back to CC today and grabbed a Pooh & Mickey!

I got my docs today - that was quick. And was assigned room 7132 - I was wishing for 36 or38 with those BIG balconies. But hey its 3 days away from work! And 3 days with my family.

Still trying to figure out how I am gonna pack my daughter with out her having a clue. :rockband:

I thought of your sneaking clothes thing but she's soo paticular about what she wears and has 100 bathing suits - my luck I'd pick the one that she hated! LOL

2 WEEKS FROM TODAY we'll be sailing away

Bowling, I can hardly believe it is 2 weeks from today. As for your daughters clothes. My sister, who is also going and surprising her husband, told her husband they needed to get away someplace warm and that poor fool has been helping her. Maybe you can convince your daughter that you are going away for the weekend, after you drop your brother off, for some mommy-daughter time. Then let her help pack. My sister got him to pack his suit becasue she wanted to go to dinner someplace nice. I do not know what your daughters interests are, but maybe you could let her tink there is something special you are going to see.

Best of luck

Oh just to let you know it is a small world, we are across the way from you on the otherside of the ship.

I ordered B-day decorations for my brothers room since my nieces b-day is the 5th of Feb. Thought that would be a nice "Mickey Surprise" stopped at walmart and bought pillow cases - I loved that post about characters signing them.

I want to make ressie's for Palo - I saw where it said 18 and over. Are they very strict with that? My daughter is 16 and passes for 18 and older all the time. Last year on RCCL her sign/sail card didnt' have "holes" which indicates minors. She likes virgin Margarita's. THe one day they ordered them at the pool bar and she almost died - she hates Tequila. The guy make a real one. SHe was like - can you please make this over. He made her bring her ID cuz he didnt' believe that she was only 15. Thank God I have a good kid.! Some kids woulda had a field day with being able to order alcohol.

Yes - they are strict with the Palo reservations. If she looks older you may get away with it - but her KTTW card will specifically say she's under 18. My 19 yr old (who looks 14) got questioned all of the time - including at Palo....

Have a great cruise!
