1st time on waitlist, have Q

I have a reservation for BCV 1 Bdrm for 4 nights in late August (112 pts).

I am on the waitlist for AKV 1Bdrm, either Std (88 pts) or Savannah View (104 pts).

Our use year is Oct and therefore I need to bank any 2007 points by end of May. We have never used all our points in a given year. We've always had a few to roll to the next year.

What I'm thinking is that if I don't get the AKV reservation by the end of May I should get off the waitlist because if I did get booked into AKV later, I wouldn't be able to bank the leftover points (24 extra points if Std and 8 if SV).

Am I right? Please advise.

I think that you should get off the wait list before the end of May if it doesn't look like it will come through.

If you want to stay on the wait list and you never use all your points each year you could go ahead and bank the 08 points by the banking deadline, then borrow 09 pts if it comes through.
