This is our first time using the regular dining plan. We are having a hard time picking 9 TS meals. Who knew this would be so hard?!

Our party is me (very picky eater), DH (not too terribly picky, but doesn't do seafood), and DS (normal 2 year old eater).

I'm wanting to do mostly dinner and maybe a few lunches and only one breakfast if needed TS.

So far all we have down that we want to do is Le Cellier and Grand FL Cafe.
I really want to try Les Chefs des France as well.

Part of me wants to try the Sci-Fi at Hollywood Studios, but I'm unsure how they would seat us. I don't really want DH or I to have to sit alone there.

Any suggestions for good family friendly meals. I think I would like to stay away from buffets. We will be staying at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge, so we will be very close to the Magic Kingdom and the monorail resorts.

Thanks for any tips/suggestions!

I would definetly pencil in Kona for breakfast. (Tonga Toast!)

Some other nice options would be Whispering Canyon Cafe, 50's Prime Time Cafe, and Chefs De France.

Well, I always start with deciding where we want to go. If I'm going to spend the day at MK for example, I don't want lunch at Epcot. If you're getting APs or Park Hoppers then you could do dinner at a different park from your morning park easily enough. You don't want to run all over the place though, right? JMO, but I prefer to plan my meals around my parks rather than my parks around my meals, with an exception every now and then. Sometimes you just can't make it work out that way. ;)

At Sci-Fi you can fit two adults and one small child in one row of a car, but it's a bit of a squeeze. How about 50's Prime Time?

If you want to eat TS at AK and don't want buffet, that only leaves Yak and Yeti. We usually do a resort TS dinner on our AK day, since we never stay there late enough for dinner. For us that is usually our 'Ohana or Hoop De Doo Review night.

I'm not sure if you're interested in a character meal or not. They are mostly buffets. The exceptions are 'Ohana breakfast (which might be a great one for you if you have a late-start morning or a day off where it could be easily scheduled in), Garden Grill dinner, CRT, and Akershus sort of (family style breakfast plus buffet, menu for lunch and dinner plus buffet). 'Ohana is my favorite of the bunch.

Like the PP suggested, it's much better if you plan your trip first. What parks will you be at? What parades/shows do you not want to miss? Start there - figure out where you'll be each day THEN look at menus at each park or the nearby hotels and narrow it down. Seems to break it down a lot easier!

I'd give 50s PT a shot since the seating in a car at SciFi will be tight. Your other option at SciFi is to be seated at a picnic table. Still the atmosphere without the car seating. IMO, 50s PT has better food and a fun environment.

This is only or 2nd time on the DDP and I am having a awful time deciding also. So many great restaurants and so few days to try them all. :rotfl2:

Our son was 2 ½ during our last trip. He loved O’hana’s breakfast, Stitch & Lilo. Sammy was too young to participate in the games. But he was given a Maraca so he felt like he was part of the games also.

Sammy loved Chef Mickey’s we ate there at dinner time. The characters took his cue on how much to inter-act with him. The food choices were good also.

We ate Coral Reef, in spite of the mixed reviews, the aquarium kept Sammy occupied while we were waiting for the food. To be honest we enjoyed the meal at Coral Reef a lot.

I have thought after reading others reviews that we will try to do Crystal Palace for Breakfast hopefully before rope drop so we can get pictures.

HTH happy planning. IMO the planning is almost as fun as the trip itself.
