Renting DVC points for this December would be a long shot at this point. You need to do that 11 months out, 7 months out at the least. Unless a member has a reservation that they can't use and decide to rent it, you probably won't be able to get anything using points.
AKL is wonderful if you like quiet and animals. It is such a neat feeling to go out on your balcony in your PJs early in the AM and see wild animals below.
WL is also a great place to stay at Christmas time. If you can't get anything through DVC, you can always get a room at the Lodge. The lobby is really great at the holiday time.
