We have driven over many times and find the drive really easy. We use the tunnel and once on the French side it is a 3 hour drive to the parks. The drive is very easy, almost all motorways. There is one toll section, the entrance to this section is about 20 minutes after you leave the tunnel and they pay section is a good 2 hours away. The toll last week was 20.70 Euros each way.
My advice once you get near to DLP and can see the signs for the parks is to follow those signs and not your sat nav. Our sat nav sends us through several little villages and a back way into the parks, following the road signs is much easier.
We usually stay off site in the Val D'Europe area, around 10 minutes drive from the parks (or you can catch the metro in which takes 2 1/2 minutes).
Hotels a little further away in Busy St George can be cheaper, this area is about 15 minutes drive from the parks.
If you put
Disneyland Paris into trivago you can search hotels in these areas and check out prices.
If you are driving in and parking on site parking in the Disneyland car park is 15 Euros a day. However, if you follow the signs for Disney Village, the multi story car park there is cheaper (12 Euros a day I think) and is closer to the park entrances.
Remember when driving in France you need to turn off the speed camera warnings on your sat nav.
Hope this helps.
