Hello to All! We are going on our first Disney Cruise in March of 04. Should total about 15 people. Not quite sure yet. My husband and I are seasoned cruisers (as seasoned as you can get by the ages of 37 & 42). We love to cruise and have done so on many lines. We don't have children and probably would not have decided on Disney if friends with kids didn't ask us to go along. We go on cruises for the good times, ports of call, meeting new people and the great weather and sea adventures. We are very active and are looking for a few hints from some of you Disney Veterans.

#1 - Are there "secret" special places on the ship (Magic) that most cruisers wouldn't see or find that we should look for? (Most ships have one or two locations that you wouldn't even know were there if you weren't told ahead of time, ex: the hidden walkway under the pool on the Norway). I don't want to miss anything!

#2 - Have any of you done any "adventerous" active shore excursions? Does Disney offer anything different than any other lines in the way of excursions?

#3 - Do the Ship sponsored excursions have the standard "Rum Punch" type of beverages on their excursions or do they keep the excursions "G" rated?

#4 - Has anyone rented scooters (mopeds) on Grand Cayman? I spent 2 weeks there when I was in Jr. High and would love to see some of the island on our own! I know all about 7 mile beach and Stingray City, Hell and the Turtle farm. It's the other side of the island I want to go to and would love to go by scooter!

#5 - How hard is it to "Sneak" a bottle or two of liquor onto the ship. Our last cruise (May 02) we could with no problem, but reports since then have tightened up security and many people have had their's confiscated. How about Disney?

I guess that' s it for now, but I'm sure I will have many many more questions and would love some chatter about it with some of you.

Thanks in advance for ANY/ALL advice!

First of all, you want to ask these questions on the Disney Cruise Board...not the Disney Cruise Trip Report...more people will see you post there!!!

I will try to answer some of your questions...

#1) Yes, plenty...look them up on Barb and Tony's site www.castawayclub.com

#3) On the excursions that I have been we were offered punch and water...I do believe that they are mostly all the same.

#5) Disney, unlike other lines, allows you to bring in as much extra drinks and food as you wish.
