1st time camper!

Hello!
I am not going camping at Disney, but want to try camping on my own here first. For a first time camper (on her own), what do I need to know? Are there any good websites, books, etc. that you can direct me to? Also, since this is about Disney, has anyone ever camped by themselves there? I guess I'm not worried about camping (been there, done that!), but am more concerned with personal safety. I'm a young, single female so I'm a bit worried about camping in general by myself, but I LOVE the outdoors. Any advice would be very appreciated! Thank you!

I have taken a few trips solo and had a great time, you can do things at your own pace.

As far as safety - pick your destination carefully, keep a cell phone handy and just be aware of your surroundings.

Are you planning to tent camp or using an RV?
