Out of the 6 of us traveling - 4 of the group has never been to WDW. We are staying at the Poly  and was wondering if they will have the "1st time at WDW" buttons or do we need to get them at City Hall? I hate to stand in line at City Hall instead of heading right for the rides.

Should I call/fax and request them at the hotel? Suggestions?

We're leaving in less than a week with a big group of kids.... most of whom have never been -- and probably won't ever have the opportunity to go again. I'm going to ask our trip coordinator to see if this is something we can get for the kids.

Does anyone have a picture of one???

Thanks!
Allison

When I was there last summer we had to pick up a 1st Trip button at the MK - they did not have any at CBR.....

We have always been able to get pins at our resorts, at least at OKW and POP.

Note* One year, someone in our party had a birthday and received a lot of special treatment because of her pin, even free fudge (I was very jealous of course). This year we had 2 first timers with pins and no special treatment the whole week... Surprisingly

How cool is that, i never knew they did that. DH and i are planning our second trip together next yr, i wonder if they'll give us one for our 2nd time.

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and the front desk gave them to my kids.

I got my first time visit pin last year when I checked in at the resort. Wear it proudly through your whole stay, you'll be surprised how many people talk to you when they see it. Enjoy

We just got back in March and were given 1st trip pins at guest relations in Epcot. We went to the window because the magnet strip on our ticket was not working and the lady started talking with us and we explained that this was our "moms only" trip to WDW. Although we had been several times before with our families, this was our first trip alone. So, she handed us all pins! I thought it was pretty cool because I didn't even think of us as first timers, but in a way, we were. I would ask upon check in at your resort, if that fails, ask at the theme parks guest relations office.

Have fun!

Disney Resort hotels should have a supply of every button (save one- honorary citizen) at the guest services/front desk. Just ask during check-in or later in your stay. If you have any special occasions noted in your reservation, you (or a member of your traveling party) might just be surprised to get one during check-in.

All buttons are also available at park guest relations.

As for what the first visit button looks like...

On our recent trip, while we were at Epcot one day, we saw a family several times who all had first time pins. CMs were greeting them "Hope you're having a great time" .... "How is your first trip", etc.
Every time a CM said something, one of the family members shot them a dirty look. I don't know if the family was expecting more or had forgotten that they had the pins on. All I know was that their reaction was sort of funny to watch.

Our best friends are going with us in Dec for their very first time and I think this will be fantastic if they can do it. We are hoping that their first time will be very magical!!

:rotfl: errrr.....no they won't. But if you are celebrating an anniversary or birthday, go for it, even if is not exactly your birthday. We always celebrate the twins November 4th birthdays with a trip to WDW, but are always a few days late.
