1st time at the Fort with our camper

We are going to be at the Fort at the end of Sept and I was wondering if there is somewhere you can park the camper once your check out to enjoy the parks for the rest of your departure date?

My apologies if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find an answer. Thank you!

CooperPrincesses, no problem!

You receive a parking pass when you arrive at the Fort that entitles you to free parking in the theme park lots for the length of your stay on property. Technically that extends to the end of the your check-out day. So you should be able to park in whichever theme park lot you choose to visit on check-out day but you will probably be waved to an oversize vehicle section of that lot. Wouldn't want you with a trailer and tow vehicle to be next to a Mini Cooper or a SmartCar. Turning out of there at the end of the night might do some damage to those little vehicles!

It might mean a little longer walk to the park gate and back at night but make the most of your last day.

PS - or you could put it in the Fort parking lot (although sometimes it is crowded) and use Disney transportation from/to that day's theme park.

I am going to post another question here. My mom and dad want to join us for one night. Our camper is big enough for them to stay with us. They are going to give my husband and I a date night (Le Cellier for dinner). I thought I read somewhere you can only have one vehicle per site, are they able to park in the overflow lot if I add them to my reservation for that one night?

There is room to park one vehicle per site (in addition to the camping vehicle) and each site is limited to 10 people. Additional parking is available at the main parking lot. Check-in time for the campsites is 1 p.m., check-out is at 11 a.m. Multiple tents or combinations of campers and tents can occupy a site; however, there is a $2 charge per adult when there are more than two adults per campsite. Weekly and monthly discounts are available in the off season.

With that being said, I would say that if there is ROOM for another vehicle, that it's not necessarily against policy. I know I have been to some sites where they had their RV, another vehicle and 2 Golf carts so certainly some sites have the room. So go with the old axiom "Easier to ask forgiveness then permission" if there is room. If not, then use the parking lot up front and either pick them up or they can use the bus system.

Thank you Peg110. Last time we stayed in a cabin and they stayed with us so didn't have to worry about it. Ours girls wanted to camp this time, so things are a little different logistics wise this go around. I appreciate the information.

As long as you have room on the paved driveway, yes. My Niece and her husband joined us for one night, and they parked right next to our truck.

Please keep the second vehicle on the concrete pad. I have had an issue before about not being able to get backed into my site because a second vehicle visiting a site was parked on the side of the loop instead of on the pad. I had to get a castmember to ask them to move. They were nice about it, and moved without a fuss, but some people might go stupid over something like that and cause unnecessary problems.
I know we have seen several comments over the years about campers getting frustrated due to the extra vehicles on sites blocking the loops and making things hard for those pulling or driving big rigs.
I was told by the same castmember that assisted me in getting the second vehicle removed that extra vehicles can be parked in the overflow and those guests can be picked up by the campers or use the internal bus to get to the site they are visiting.

Yep, bad move on my part, they promised that it would be their last hit, now that they have the taste of rubber, I see their into chewing propane hoses.I think they are drinking way to much of that Bud Lite and smoking that wacky weed. I will see what I can do when get back to the fort. I fear water hoses will be next.

We'll see how everything looks in the site, and then decide. We have a big truck for the camper, but mom and dad have a Honda Fit, so basically the size of a golfcart. If it won't fit I am sure they won't mind leaving it the overflow lot. Thank you for the information.
