Hi there,

I was looking for some advice for going 1st time with babies to Disneyland Paris, we have never been before so have no idea what it is like. Lol.

Should we plan our journey ahead & do you have to book in certain restaurants & if so how much notice should you give before making the booking.
We are flying into Charles de gaulle airport & we are planning on using the TGV train into the park, is this easy when travelling with kids?
As we try to book a private shuttle but these where too expensive or fully booked.
Also from where the train gets into the park is it easy to get to the Disney Hotel Cheyenne.

Do you have any other tips or advice that would be beneficial to us, i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi there

I do not have kids but I know what the journey is like from the airport. The trip is pretty simple takes about an hour if more. But its like getting on any other train so you shouldnt have a problem. Im sure you already know the route from the airport but if you dont then type into google paristrains disneyland paris it will come up with the route. If you cant find it I have the route in an email somewhere its ever so simple.

The train station is at the entrance of the disney village and of the park, cheyanne is about a 15 to 20 minute walk but there are free shuttles that come every 10 mins.

You should either book the resturants now or book them as soon as you arrive to afford dissappointed as they get very booked up and fast! If you booked a package on the disneyland website you can get money off so just ask to add to the booking. We booked Buffalo Bills and got 20% off so its well worth it and last time we went we couldnt get into Buffalo Bills because it was fully booked.

You should also plan yours days it will help you make sure you dont waste time espicially is you have babies. I know its hard if you havent been there before but its just like any other theme park expect 100 times better! so just imagine how you would cope with a normal theme park.

I think I answered all your questions ill look when I submit it!

If you have any other questions let me know and I will try and help!!

Have a fab time! xx

The TGV train only takes a very short time - not an hour - and is direct. I think you are referring to the RER here which takes longer and needs a change in central Paris.
The shuttle buses to the hotels leave from right outside the train station.
The advantage of a private shuttle is that it collects you from your terminal and drops you at your hotel so although its more expensive its worth it as its a lot less hassle especially with a baby and probably lots of equipment/luggage etc.

You dont get discount off meals if you booked on the DLP website and add them to your booking- Buffalo Bills is the only one

There was a thread about travelling with a baby - I'll try and find it for you

I can't comment on the flying thing as we always drive.

But, i've done disney with babies so can help there!
Last year we did it with a baby and a todler!

The thing i would stress most when going with tiny ones is 'go with the flow', having little ones in a place like disney means they dictate what you do, when you do it and how fast you do anything!
We found it almost impossible to have a set plan each day as you never know how the little ones will be on that day.

We simply had a few things each day we wanted to get done and just went along doing other things for the rest of the time,DLP is such a beautiful place we offten spent time walking around just taking it all in whilst our little ones slept.

I'm sure you will all have a migical time!
If i can be any help at all just ask :goodvibes

I use the TGV all the time to and from CDG, but there is only me and one or 2 older girls, not babies, and we take hand luggage.
There is a fair bit of walking/transferring to do in the airport itself before you get to the TGV station, and the lifts down to the platform are pretty small. Your only other way of getting down to the TGV platform is escalators. I'd imagine that wouldn't be the easiest thing to do with a buggy and cases, but if you're used to flying with the babies already, I wouldn't imagine its any worse than any other airport.
You do have to put your own luggage/buggy on the TGV yourself, there are 2 steps up from the platform onto the train itself. Not much storage space either in the carriages, but there are storage racks at the end of each one.

To be perfectly honest, with babies and a lot of luggage I think a shuttle would be by far the most convenient option. You can choose a shared shuttle price with some operators, which cuts down the cost a bit, and you may not have to share at all (we didn't when we chose shared shuttle price with rstransports).
