We will be having our first stay at BLT at the end of January. (Our DD has always wanted to stay here. We usually stay at BCV) Our 60 days is coming up and I have been giving this stay some extra thought as it is a gift for our DD17 ( Bday/Xmas/hanukkah). We have a theme park view so we plan to watch wishes when we can. Is there any fun or special details that would make the stay here extra special. I'm ok with paying for something as she is a senior and while I know she will go to WDW with us in the future I just don't know when that will be. Any help would be great! TIA

The Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage leaves from the Contemporary.

It is very convenient to get to/from Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. There is a boat that leaves from the Contemporary to get to Fort Wilderness.

If you haven't been to the California Grill during Wishes, you may want to try that. They turn down the lights and pipe in the music. It's really special. You can hear everything way better than in a mass of people in the MK, IMO.

We are looking forward to taking the boat to the HDD as we have never done that. We went to the CG for my DH Birthday a few years ago and it was so beautiful. DD and I cried during wishes. Thank you both for the ideas:)

We have stayed at BLT many times and it is my favorite resort overall. I love walking to magic kingdom from there and the pool is very relaxing. I think the best part of the resort is watching the fireworks from the Top of the World Lounge. It is a great view from there and the music is piped right out to the balcony.

IMO the "when we can" part should be every night. Just an amazing view of the fireworks and I love just hanging out on my balcony to see them. Also, as PP said CG is a great view but since you already are "paying" for that view I would take advantage of your room.

Depending on what you have done/how into Disney she is, what about one of the tours?

Let me add regardless staying at BLT, I bet it will be amazing no matter what. Contemporary was always my favorite when I was younger so it has a special place in my heart.

Hopefully you have at least a one bedroom for the space. That's worthy of the gift in itself.

The BLT studios are my favorite studio design. I like the kitchenette, it feels like the studio has an additional room. Although, I haven't stayed at Grand Floridian or Poly studios. I prefer a 1-bdrm, of course, but that is true of any of the resorts.

Just wanted to add DD loved getting to drive her own boat. You can rent the little "mouse" boats at CR and cruise around bay lake or Seven seas lagoon.

Also I will be at BLT in a TPV room just before you and will post pix on the CR thread. Let me know if you have any requests.

One thing we like is to get a cupcake at CR and have for dessert when watching wishes from our room.

There are seating areas by each elevator so go up to an upper floor and just check out the view for a few minutes.

We also love those talking elevators lol!
