1st Solo Trip

Here I am at my desk and I am supposed to be paying bills and I find myself looking at Continental's web page for airfare. Just for the heck of it I threw some dates in and wouldn't you know it, $158 airfare so I found myself confirming the transaction and now I am going !!

I'm leaving March 17 until March 21. Here is the greatest thing...I am going ALL BY MYSELF!!!!! I really need a break I have been taking care of my ill father. Now I have something to look forward to and it will be a much deserved rest.

I plan on staying at a value resort Friday and Saturday night then going over to OKW to use my DVC points.

I have never gone on my own...I'm a little nervous. But I think I will be fine. Can't wait to be able to go to the Carousel of Progress, take my time in Epcot and really explore the countries. I'm bringing my camera and plan on taking a lot of pictures. I also thought of taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour.

The best part of this trip I am meeting up with my best friend who lives in the area and we are going to a spa!!!

Anyone else going that time? I would love to meet some fellow DISers for a drink!

I'm open to suggestions and ideas.

I am not going then, but wanted to say GOOD FOR YOU!!! Sounds like you will get a much needed vacation, and solo is a good way to pamper yourself! Have fun, and think of me, I will be moving 1500 miles away, and stuck in a truck with an exhausted fiance and a non traveling I envy you. Wanna trade places??? Have fun!

I'll be there too! I'm suppose to be going with 2 friends, but they've backed out before, so I'm pretty sure I'll be solo too.

I wish I could come down then and meet up with all you guys at JellyRolls but I just can't find airfares that cheap. Maybe I will get lucky and win the lottery tonight!

If you have your heart set on the Carousel of Progress...you might have to hit MK on a Saturday/Sunday. I think that was what I was told in December...it's only open on the weekends.

Ride the Haunted Mansion for me a couple of times and don't forget to ride Everest at least twice for me!

Where is everyone staying?

I am planning on staying at one of the POP's for Friday and Saturday and then at OKW until Tuesday. Trying to stretch those DVC points.

I'm staying at the SSR for the first 5 days then moving to the Contemporary for the last 3 days. I can hardly wait.
