I have never done a TR or PTR for that matter but here it goes!
I have only been to Disney World two times! This is my first time going as an adult, well if thats what you want to call me! I have become a micromanager planning everything to when and where the bathrooms will be!
A little background:
My first trip was late August 1996 I was 8 we stayed at the All Star Music resort in the Calypso building and it was really nice spent a lot of time in the guitar pool, and I think I practically lived on the unlimited refills mug with cherry cola and hot chocolate. The resort was really nice colourful lively and felt really Disney especially if you went to the Broadway section and saw the huge Beauty and the Beast sign. At the time there was only the All Star Sports or All Star Music as I went with DM, DF, and DS 16 of the time and DF wasnt a huge sports fan Music made sense! We never had to wait too long for busses and of all the resorts we visited we fell in love with the WL! It was our first time there so we mostly did counter service (American Hot Dogs are way better than Canadian ones!) So with our package we received a free character breakfast per person so did Chef Mickeys on our final day and it was amazing we were sad when our next trip it was booked L I digress, we also went to Victoria and Alberts which I distinctly remember getting Queen Victoria paper dolls, I LOVE paper dolls so this was great and I had macaroni and cheese it was great! This was before Animal Kingdom so we enjoyed all the parks though for my age it was all about Magic Kingdom primarily Fantasy land! I rode the sky ride so many times pity it was gone! This vacation was the last big vacation we made as a family as my dad died in 2000 and my sister being 8 years older wanted her independence. Also we flew out of Toronto non-stop Air Transat so it was good!
My second trip occurred November 2000 till the 16th and started around the 9th. We got to go on this trip as my dad had died in April and my mother wanted to do something special to raise our spirits. So me DM DGM and I then 12 went to our TA who booked our last agent with the hopes of ASMo but no dice! No dice for ASMu so Sports it was! My grandmother has a bad back and knees so we requested we be in the closest area which is Surfing but the nice CM said we were originally in Center Court and pushed us to the Football section so it wasnt too bad but we were far from the elevator for my gramma and on the third floor but we learned to deal with it and I was the official go get the drinks in the morning with our souvenir cup girl! This year I lived on iced tea and hot chocolate instead as my palate was more sophisticated (ha!) It was a lot of fun and made the grieving process a bit better! We brought some of my dads ashes with us and put them in the water on the boat to the WL from MK as he loved it there I dont know if you need to get permission to do this , but it meant a lot to us to be able to do this so we did it anyways! This trip we really talked to a lot of families especially ones from England, you UK people are so lovely!!!!!! We also meant I think everyone from New Jersey (it was true everyone we spoke to seemed to be from New Jersey!!) Well that week there was a big New Jersey teachers convention or something so a lot of people from New Jersey were around and were all very lovely. However I got my heels ran over by strollers a lot not so much as a sorry just a got to keep up with my husband deal with it that was a bit upsetting, and in a non smoking area I was sitting on the ground put my hand down onto a still burning cigerette butt and got my palm burnt! I got scars from both incidents but who cares I was in disney world! We went to 50s Prime Time Café and didnt get a waitress who was into the games so that was sad but the food was good! And we went to 1900 Park Fare since Chef Mickeys was booked the character interact was great, though Jepetto was totally hitting on my Grandma!!!!!!! It was crazy! And it seemed as if the Mad Hatter and Mary Poppins were having a torrid love affair! We again flew out of Toronto but on Canada Air. For the record since my grandmother couldnt move well we spent a lot of time resting which wasnt what I wanted! We also went to Downtown Disney EVERYNIGHT but it was fun!
