After you arrive at WDW, Check in to your hotel, What is the Ist place you visit? Our 1st day always seems to be one of the most memorable from our trip.

The Magic Kingdom of course!

Since we don't get to the hotel until 5ish, we usually have PS at Chef Mickey's. We book PS's here for our first night because after telling DS4 we're going to see Mickey - we better see Mickey! :p

After dinner if we're all not too tired from the travel, we'll head to MK for a train ride around the park.

The bathroom!:bounce:

And after that's taken care of, we like to visit EPCOT. It's so spread out that it never seems crowded and the kids love it more than the MK. And since the World Showcase opens so late, we never feel like we've missed much by not being there just as the gates open.:)

We go to the MK! We don't get to the park until about 3pm so we don't have a lot of time that first day with it closing at 6pm. It does get us in the spirit seeing Main Street again and we always ride the Fantasyland rides then also. Since the park closes so early we head back to our resort and eat dinner at Kona's. We then go back to MK on the second day and do everything we want. We cannot start our trip in another park. It just wouldn't be the same!

We don't arrive until late afternoon - so we do a non-park day at our resort. Really check it out! When you think about what you pay to stay at a deluxe, it makes sense to enjoy it. The kids like to hop in the pool with DH. I check out the shops and just amble about. Then early to bed and early to rise for our first full day in the parks!

It will be our first time at AKL and I can't wait to just relax and see the animals.

We've only been to WDW once (so far), and we stayed at the YC. While we wait for our room to be ready we went to Epcot for about 6.5 hours, after checking in and touring the resort we headed back to Epcot and ate at Beirgarden (sp?) and had a ball!

Peaches you started this thread but didn't mention what your favorite "first thing" is? Forgive me if I've misread the thread.:)

We always drive because it's only 9 hours for us. We leave really early and get there about 2:00. We usually, and from now on ALWAYS, stay at the YC or BC. Our first day is spent relaxing at the resort. If the room isn't ready, we go to Beaches & Cream for an ice cream treat while we wait. We go to Stormalong Bay and we somtimes play minature golf at Fantasia. On our first full day, Sunday, we go to the MK.

Ahhh....this is making me sad. It's a long time until we get to go back. I doubt we'll make it before the end of may first of June.

We usually stay at the resort, have lunch and swim and go to DTD for the evening. Our first day is always a relaxing day.

Ahhhh .... the start of a Disney vacation .... there's nothing better!!

Since we usually arrive on a Saturday -

We arrive at the resort (Poly) ... check in ... have lunch (Kona Cafe) ... swim & relax at the resort ... have dinner at Chef Mickey's ... watch EWP and fireworks from the beach.

Our first park always has to be Magic Kingdom!!!

We've been arriving the night before for the last few trips so we can have the next full day at MK! It seems like we always start there! The evening before we did Chef Mickey's one year and DTD one year. Last year it was 11:00 pm so we went to bed. This year it'll be 10:00 so it's early to bed and early to rise!!!

We go to eat lunch in Canada over at Epcot--cheese soup and pretzel bread!! Just thinking about it makes me want to go again!:p

When we get there we usually just check in, take showers and get ready, then we go somewhere for lunch, go explorer some of the resorts, and then head down to Downtown Disney. That is our routine every yerar! ;)

Don't know why really, but we always go to Epcot for the remainder of the day, ride Test Track at least once provided it is not after 6 pm), and start at MK bright and early the next day!

I usually arrive late at night, so I check out the room, call those at home to tell them I arrived safe, then check out the resort a little before bed. This next time I should be arriving late on Weds night, catching a flight after work (unless I am able to get off of work a third day, then I would be able to leave Weds morning) and if I get a late flight, I will get in late, I would just go to sleep, with no wake up call in the morning as I have MVMCP sceduled on Thursday, then going to one of the other parks till about 4 or 5 then heading to MK, meeting everyone at the MK for dinner at CP about 5:30 or so, then the Christmas Party.

Downtown Disney as we usually arrive around 4pm or so and I don't want to waste a day on my hopper. By time we check in, shower and get everything set, it's usually around 5:30 almost 6 so we just hang out in Downtown Disney as I love the way it looks at night all lit up! We stay there until it's time for dinner ressies. If we don't have any we'll hit Wolfgang's if the wait isn't too bad. :)

We're not party poopers, just tired. After flying in from Dallas, renting the car, checking in at the hotel, we usually eat at the fast-food court. (Even though we're too tired to visit a park, we're also too excited to eat! So we save our bigger meals for the duration.)

This year however, we'll be arriving on our DD's 9th birthday, and we've PS @ 720 for Ohana's, so we'll break the tradition. I'm so excited!

We usually go to dinner at 'Ohana. It's become a fun tradition. Alooooooha! :earsgirl:
