This is my first trip to Orlando as an adult. I will be visiting with my wife and 13yr old son. We want to see SeaWorld and Universal Studios. I'm trying to choose a hotel between the two theme parks that is:
1)Nice and not run down with decent staff.
2)Not all about youg children (but fun for a teenager)
3)Best value
4)Within walking distance from entertainment and dining.

Is it a good idea to rent a vehicle? I assume most hotels provide shuttle service:
1) Between the airport and hotel
2) Between theme parks and hotel.

Last question:
What is the cheapest way to obtain theme park tickets for SeaWorld and Universal Studios?

I don't know of any hotels around Universal that provide a free shuttle to or from the airport.

I would stay onsite at Universal. That will give you a free shuttle to SeaWorld. You will then get early admission at the Universal parks as well as free unlimited express passes. It is really, really worth it in the busy season.

Check out the hotels on Major Blvd. if you are not wanting to stay onsite.

Cheapest tickets are found at www.undercovertourist.com

Thanks for the feedback Damo. If anyone has a suggestion of a specific hotel that has the most value for the price, I would appreciate the advice.

Like damo said I don't know of any that offer shuttle to and from hotel but I would suggest maybe getting a town car to and from the airport and we will be staying for the first time at the Bestwestern plus Universal Inn and we paid like $70.00 a night and reviews are mixed about it but we are giving them a try this june

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I welcome any additional information that you feel like sharing.
