We arrive at 11pm our first night. My kids will be TIRED. I am thinking of staying at the Orlando International Airport and getting a fresh early start in the am. Has anyone stayed there?

we have.. been a few years though. wasnt a whole lot cheaper than a value at wdw. We kinda liked getting up and starting off to our wdw resort the next morning. We thought it was decent for what it is. kids thought it was cool staying at the AIRPORT.

I have had rates at the airport Hyatt as low as ~ $130. You definitely pay a premium to stay there, but it can be worth it depending on the circumstances.

I used the bid now feature on pricline for a 1 night stay. Wanted the Hyatt but ended up with the Doubletree by Hilton which is only 2 miles away with a free shuttle. Cost me 58 dollars with tax for the night. We get in at 11 as well and will come back the next day around 7. It will be a little more work than the Hyatt but for 58 bucks I'll deal with it.

We have used Hyatt Stay Certificates to stay at the airport Hyatt. I think you can get the certificate you need for $119 (and that includes all the taxes).

Sometimes they offer an AP rate (which I don't use). I have booked using AAA discount.

We arrive at 11:35 pm and decided to go to POR instead of staying at the Hyatt. It added $230 to our package, but we were able to get an additional day of free dining. That will save us from having to pay out of pocket for one of the TS meals. We're probably not saving any money, but I like the fact that we can wake up and go straight to the parks without having to hop on ME and then check in at the resort.

We just stayed there this weekend! We had a 7am flight home on Sunday and didn't want ME picking us up at 4am :( , so we had them drop us off the night before at the Hyatt. Great hotel. Very clean (I'm super picky when it comes to staying at hotels). It is definitely very convenient for late arrivals/early departures. I would stay there again if we had an early morning flight.

It definitely depends upon when you are flying into MCO. We normally fly in later (between 9-11pm) and stay at the hotels on Augusta National Dr., which is just a couple of minutes from the airport and has everything from a Marriott to a Fairfield. We would stay at any of the hotels as they have all been fabulous.

I will be honest, however, and say for the next trip, we are opting to go to a Value resort on property. It is the first time we will try this. The rate is actually better than anything we can find near the airport. We found a Value resort onsite for $125/night. It is about a 20 minute drive. We are trying that because it is only short drive more, we will be on property, and we can take advantage of any dining.

So, it depends upon your situation. There are a lot of great hotels near the airport. But I am surprised to find the Values are rivaling their charges and making sense for us to drive the extra 15-20 minutes to get on property sooner.
