I usually like to do Character Meal and view the Electrical Water Pagant on our first night to get into the Disney spirit.

DH38, Me36, DD5, DS4, DD2
On a budget. Hoping for Free Dining. This meal would be out of pocket.

Need sugestions. Probable will be doing another Character Meal later. Here are some thoughts...

1900 Park Fare Character Meal - Cost: 29/14

Chef Mickey - Cost: 30/15

O'Hanna - Cost: 27/13

Whispering Cayon Cafe - Cost: 23/10
(Less for kids, if I don't have All-you-can-eat-Skillet)

Would like a restaurant via monorail so we may view the EWP. Not sure if to do Character Meal or not.

What has been your best experience w/ these restaurants?

Thanks.

the electric water pageant from the boat dock of the Wilderness Lodge if you eat at WCC.

I would go to Ohana and go early and try to request a window seat or go early enough to finish dinner and go wait on the beach to watch the EWP. Both WCC and Ohana are great for kids, fun and food. I just love watching it from inside Ohana or on the beach.

If you want a monorail restaurant, go to Kona Cafe. Consistently good food (we go there at least twice per trip), lots of choices.

If you don't care to do character, Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness is a good value, and the EWP passes down at the dock.
