Do you think the main street barber shop will believe me when I tell them it's my DS's 1st haircut when he will be only 4 months shy of five and very big for his age?

It will be true, I'm not gonna lie. He was completely bald til he was 2. I mean Mr. Clean bald. Will the hat fit him?

My DS hat says "infant" but it has an elastic to hold it on. I am trying on me right now. I look silly but with elastic on, it almost looks like it fits and the elastic isn't too too tight. without the elastic, it will fall off if i move my head. BTW i am an adult women. Make sure you ask though. I think the earlier you get there the more of a chance they will have a hat available.

I bought one of the infant Mickey Ears the last time I was at MK. My baby was 5 months old, and he swam in it. The hat fits me way better than him!

My granddaughter was nearly SIX when she got her first haircut at the MK barbershop ... she got the whole works ... "1st Haircut Ears" ... the certificate ... stickers ... photo op.

Maura told me she really enjoyed giving Cissy her first haircut as most kids are too young to enjoy the experience!

Maura cut my ds's hair on our trip in September! She was great. That is true about kids being to young to enjoy it, but I have to say that the whole time my ds (17 mos old) was sitting there he was very entertained. I know he won't remember it but it was really a fun thing to do for him and now I have his little wispy "baby curls" all wrapped up with pixie dust for his keepsake box.

We were the first in line at opening that day (we wanted to make sure we got those ears - I hear sometimes they run out if you go later in the day). The only "bad" thing about that was that we missed the Dapper Dans. They were walking down main street singing after we left the parlour.

Have fun!

I'm sure they will believe you and yes the hat will fit him. My oldest DD had her first haircut there last year (see below). It was one of the hilights of our trip!

I'm not sure who the dapper dans are. but when my DS was getting his hair cut a cm dressed old fashioned came in and said I HAVE A VERY IMPORTANT MEETING AT 1:00 SHARP and need a shave so she stopped cutting DS hair and put shaving cream on him and a cape. Then he realizes its 10 after 1 and runs out of there, shaving cream and all!

But he didn't get a hat. He got one a year before though. But they didn't know that. He's 2

Go for it. Both of my kids have a lot of hair but the funny thing is, neither DH or I did as kids. DS will be getting his hair cut in November when we go.

How much are the haircuts at Magic Kingdom? Both of my kids will be due for one while we are there. Ds is 2 almost 3 and DD is 5.

I believe I was told that it's $12. If you do a haircut search, you'll come up with a lot.

Will they cut a 9 month old's hair? My daughter's bangs hang in her eyes and we would like to get her hair cut there.

My daughter was 8 months old in May when she got her first haircut and the MK, so yes. Incredibly enough, her bangs were down to her nose, the poor kid couldn't see but I had been waiting for her first haircut at the MK!! She's 13 months now and just had her 4th haircut!!

Me too! It's so sad. I keep pushing her bangs to the side. Everyone asks why I don't just trim them. But, then it wouldn't really be her 1st haircut at Disney!

My son got his haircut at Disney when he was approx 17 months. It wasn't his first haircut...(it was his second, he really needed one and I couldn't wait for WDW) but Mara said it was his first disney hair, so he got his ears & certificate!! We just went back there a few weeks ago and my son really didn't fell like having his hair cut (he's was almost 3)..so my hubby needed one, too...well, he got one, along with blue gel and tons of pixie dust!! Tyler (son) was so involved in what they were doing to daddy's hair, that before he knew it, his was done too..but he wanted no part of the blue hair. They even put pixie dust in my hair and gave Tyler a handful for his pocket. Throughout the day he would reach into his pocket and put one of the mickey pixie dust pieces on his head...too cute!!!

Another 4yo here getting her first haircut ever at MK!! Our DD was bald until age one. I was so excited that her hair was finally growing I never cut it and now it is more than half way down her back. So now its time for a trim, but only a trim! LOL! I actually was going to get her first haircut last year during our Feb. '04 trip but chickend out as I did not want it cut yet! But the ends definetly need to be trimmed now. People laugh though when I tell them she will not have her haircut until we go to WDW!!!
