1st father's day ... special gift ideas?

Hi guys! Well, our loooooooong (like 9 years) awaited child has arrived just in time for father's day! I am trying to get some really special ideas for a gift for my dh. Does anyone have a favorite gift they have rcvd or got for an occassion?

I don't have that many ideas of my own due to lack of sleep

PICTURES! Make an appt for a photo shoot for the 2 of them or take some homemade photos and then at Kinkos for about $50-100 you can get a big poster board picture that is just awesome.
Photo album is a great idea too!

Trust me when your kid is older they can look at it together.

My dh has always talked about his favorite candy bar growing up (he is from Seattle). I had never heard of it before, it is called Big Hunk. I found an online candy store that sells hard to find candy, so I am ordering a case of them for him!!

For my dh's first Father's Day Ds was about 9 months old. I took some blue paint and let him make hand and foot prints on a piece of card stock. Then I found a really cute poem online and printed it out. I used the foot/hand print page to make a matte for the poem and I also used a piece of light blue card stock to matte it. Framed the whole thing. It came out very nice and Ds actually had a hand (and foot ) in making it .

We already have a ton of pics of DS but I am going to take one of DS standing in dads shoes and maybe with a tie and hat and take his pic. If the baby isn't sitting you could lay him down in dad's clothes.

For my husband's first Father's Day, among other things, I gave him a video of The Honeymooners(he loves the show and used to watch it with hsi dad) with a note "from" DD that said this is something to make you laugh when you're up all night with me and feel like crying because you're so tired. LOL
Also gave him a copy of "Father of the Bride" with a note from DD that said -This is to remind you that it all goes by so fast, before you know it you will be walking me down the aisle, enjoy every minute with me as I grow.
