1st DVC TR--eVACuATION from Gustav

Just some roof damage to the auditorium and boy's gym. The three science labs along the back of the school had some damage, but other than that everything is okay. Glad to hear about the lights. We are still trying to get the smell out of the house!

Northshore resident here! We too evacuated to Disney World for Gustav, but only for 4 nights!

So, as new owners, our first trip home was our “emergency” trip to SSR too. It was the first time we ever stayed in a 1 bdrm and I agree, it spoiled us! Saw lots of LA plates in the parking lot.

We, too, thought SSR was beautiful, but missed our home VWL. (Have stayed there several times prior to owning and knew that's where we would buy.) We will be there at Christmas – can’t wait!! It will be just hubby and I on that trip, so studio is fine. However, first thing I did when we got home was change our Mardi Gras trip with two teenage boys to a 1 bdrm unit!!!!

Gotta love DVC!! Can’t wait to try AKV!
